OOOH, so Pretty, I am praying and working to obey the teachings of the kind of woman I should be...you know, the Proverbs 31 woman who keeps house and makes pretty things and wears pretty things and talks pretty things and Always honors and obeys my Husband, my Master and Lord...
So I write this blog to encourage and reach out and be that Christian Woman Witness....to show you just what a good Proverbs 31 Woman I am...
NOW, HERE'S THE 'TRUE' STORY OF THE PROVERBS 31 WOMAN--AND WHAT I REALLY,
AM ABOUT.

Mercy Jesus, I pray for Mercy, for What I have done...for what We have done, with the Capitalist-Religious Pharisee Distortion of Proverbs 31.

the other image from inspired home, simply from a google search on pretty home images, you see, my Life doesn't center around Housekeeping, Pretty Things, Showing off what I have or How 'good' I am...I could care less. I'm just a run of a mill Sinful woman who needs Grace and the Cross and who sees a world that is dying...and when Proverbs 31 says she Reaches her hand, extends her hand to the poor, that she clothes her family with 'scarlet' which is a Color so its not about keeping them in clothes but in Mercy, Love, scarlet is the color of Blood which represents Christ's sacrifice for all of us so that WE could live to give life to Others...go back and Read Proverbs 31 and see what it Really says,
its not the pimped out Toxic garbage that is being spewed today that is nothing more than a Capitalist Consumption doctrine, keeping women as Rapunzel's and dumbed down in her 'castle' with her eyes Shut to the Death around her...Consuming and Consuming and those things Consumed,
are majority, BLOOD GOODS, meaning, they are made by the Blood of Millions of Innocents, who are Poor, direly Poor, who are Oppressed, from our Clothes to our Chocolates to our Car Toys [all made/or somehow linked to slavery and even concentration camp conditions where even Children work--car toys, oh yea, seen some really nice photos of those death camps from a friend who Went to Brazil].
I have looked through hundreds of so called Christian Proverbs 31 type women blogs, they make me want to PUKE. I'll be Blunt,
they are nothing more than 'materialism', with a bit of scripture thrown in. Oh and the whole War Dog Love Fest...never mind that one in three of our American women are raped in the armed forces and there IS no justice there, raped by their own 'fellow male good 'moral' boy soldier'-- but oh, you know its those Muslimmmmmssss over there, yea, Right it is.
Its not their fault, its the fault of white privileged males who have for Too long, been selling us THE LIE about what Christianity [in their male image] is supposed to look like,
YUCK.
No wonder, so many spit it out of their mouth...and well, I guess, I just needed to say it. I love 'pretty things' just as much as the next woman,
but I'll be damn if I'll build my life around them and around my husband, while ignoring the death all around me...like the Death Camps in Nazi Germany, with the women walking by the stacks of skeletons of Jews, as if they had not a Care in the world...
oh no, I will NOT, pretend, I don't smell the death nor see the dead.
I hope that you don't either.

Jane

Another Good Analysis, on the relationship between Porn -Pedophilia/Rape and the Submission teachings/Submission Tyranny in Christianity, are Identical in Philosophy, see:
http://submissiontyranny.blogspot.com/2009/11/submission-of-women-required-for.html
see also: The relationship-Lie of Christian Martyrdom in Misogyny and why its really Sacrificing to Demons -- blood/violence sacrifice of Women and Children in the Name of God or as Bible calls it, Passing the Children through the Fire [there are numerous similarities to the teachings to women in Christian fundamentalism that are Identical to the teachings under Misogynist 'pagan or demon' worship...and why we must confront them AND resist them. NOTE: I should have clarified this earlier, and I will remember to do so in future, my Reference to Paganism, is the reference to actual Demon Worship, which was clearly Misogynist and Patriarchal, in Biblical Times. While there are many 'myths' today spewed about the pagan/history in ancient Mesopotamia, there are many Historical and Archeological Evidence that child rape, child trafficking especially of girls, sex slavery were a Central part of those religions, not just in Middle East/but in South America in many parts. While my research is Not completed yet on this topic, I have found too much that I believe, is still a very central part of the Perversions of Religions and Doctrines we see today and Why there IS an increase in violence against women, Especially Sexual Violence. The Main Thread in all of these Doctrines, IS the Obsession with Submission, especially that of Women, to men and to male gods, though many may Have 'female' gods their roles were Always that of sexual submission, violence and war. Especially violence and war. What I am finding in my research--and that has a huge influence in Roman & Greek mythologies as well. I have not Concluded on all points but the findings and comparative analysis to doctrines/ideologies today, are just too identical in parts, to simply dismiss as a mere coincidence. They all have an obsession with hierarchies that are Centered on the Sexual Subjugation of girls and women. My goal is not to Bash religion or to End Religion, but to see where there is a historical and psychological And spiritual connection in human nature--that has distorted religions, from fear, and the fear of death/survival, and why LIFE, life that women carry and nurture [though not always] is hated so much. Ironically I found many of the same oppressions of women -undesirables- in ancient goddess beliefs too, who were Part/relationship with gods, such as Marduk, which IS mentioned numerous times, in the Old Testament. end of note.

UPDATE--SEE POST BELOW, THE TWO GO TOGETHER
While I am doing some research--and I'll need to also go through my files here at home, I did do a lot of reading as to the 'resource' factor in many regions that causes many to live in shanty towns/and in garbage dumps, etc.,
I want to leave you with this article, from Unicef, about the children in Brazil. One thing, that is a common thread and it is Also going on in This nation as we speak--
people cannot find work and move to the suburbs only to find there is no work and they are forced to live in shanty towns/dumps, etc. This is happening All over America, tent cities. I will be covering this as well. Or often vice versa, no work in rural they migrate to urban--overcrowding and Over population [this is big one women--while I strongly oppose eugenics/left ideals on this, at the same time, the Lower patriarchal standards for women under Religion IS creating mass poverty and children are Dying as a result of] [see note at bottom**]
So, there are some common threads, and there is one big common denominator I am seeing,
Urbanization--jobs, and when those jobs become less and population grows, migration patterns to the rural and no jobs, no resources, and no means of self-support. OR, there is lack of clean water [rural areas] and overpopulation and lack of good soil to sustain farming.
In this way, Modernization is yes, some to blame here....remember, our ancestors farmed from seed and worked with no resources either--as we progress, we Unlearn those skills and become Dependent on jobs-and systems.
There is also the issue of land hoarding--
more on this later...for now, lets do some reading and see why this is a reality for so many.
http://www.unicef.org/infobycountry/brazil_1920.html
**note: One problem however that is overlooked, while yes, the lack of Waste treatment is a huge part of this--IF these children did NOT have means of making even a small amount of income and this is a Reality in many regions that Do have waste management--those children are Then vulnerable to debt bondage sales, slavery and Especially sex slavery--as we see in more Modernized countries that are also seeing increase in poverty, e.g. Eastern Europe, parts of Asia and Russia, etc. And here in America--sex industry is in fact, the fastest growing along with service sector.
This is how so much of this Does tie into yes, the low status of women, particularly where Forced marriages, Forced pregnancies are concerned. It is an OxyMoron to scream Pro-Life and fight Birth Control yet thousands of these Very children are rotting away in poverty and the trafficking-sex slavery, due to the demand for Virgins, is growing. That demand for Virgins btw, children being raped in sex slavery, IS in fact the 'mentality' of the rapists/industry that is Right along with the whole patriarchal-misogynist lust for subjugation of women, marriage to girl children, the relationship of submission worship to Pedophilia and so forth, in other words, MALE DOMINANCE AND THEIR INSISTENCE, UNDER GOD THEY SO CLAIM, TO HAVE SPECIAL ENTITLEMENT TO DO THESE THINGS. We also much Address here, the other side of the coin--the Hedonist 'anything goes if it feels good do it, including pedophilia, and the whole anti-God no moral absolutes mentality that Is growing in many nations, a.k.a. cultural and moral relativism. The whole whatever one does is fine boat--is also, KILLING just as many Children/and attributing to as the Patriarchs and Ultra-religious fundamentalists are doing. Both--are about Selfishess and Self Gratification, using 'philosophy' or 'religion' to do so and Both, are contributing to the indifference and willful actions in human right abuses, Especially of Children.
In other words, the solutions cannot be just 'mere waste management' and putting kids in schools, though its a Start--
we Have to address the many Roots of the problems to begin with, and that is where a lot of the patriarchy, Religion and Misogyny, will need to be addressed and resisted. Throw in that quagmire the problem of HIV and AIDS and its one big mess,
and of course, war, war over resources that are being used, for OUR technology, diamonds, you name it..
it is All intertwined, with Sin. Greed, Lust and Power.
Question is then, What do we do, to change OUR ROLE in that?
I will leave this up top for time....so that we may think and reflect on these things, and I will later be adding, factor by factor, the problems, the problems in solutions and what are Alternatives.
What can We do, etc...to Help bring about Change.
Later, Solidarity,
Jane

Recycling, Writing, Praying, It's Simply Not Enough Anymore...

http://jonkgoering.wordpress.com/2009/09/04/nicaragua-children-of-the-dump-chinandega/
OK I know I was going to break away for a while but I need to do this one thing.
One issue that I want to begin to cover here IS in fact Poverty. Because poverty is So intertwined with the oppression of women and children. I strongly believe we cannot fight misogyny without also confronting certain hierarchies and certain economic hierarchies. While I do NOT concur with the 'solutions' offered by human ideologies, e.g. Marxism, Leninism, etc., been there Done that and THEY DON'T WORK--I have my own theories as to why they don't, Patriarchy and their Refusal to dump the male entitlement to women's bodies I think is one of the biggest reasons, i.e. male superiority and all, I Do Believe that their Analysis of the problem is right in many regards, minus their whole materialist and denying the existence of God and sinful human nature.
However, I am in no way, in favor of unbridled capitalism either, I do support free market, if its FAIR TRADE, and Ethical. And I am more communal--grass roots kind of way, communism that is driven by Love, like in ACTS [Bible], not by a Gun which really is nothing more than Feudalism with a Gun. I also am pragmatic enough to know there will NOT be a Utopia until Jesus Christ Himself, as Lord, is ruling and hate is not allowed. [my belief, one I will stand on, no matter how unpopular it may be]
BUT regardless, of what I believe, Faith wise, I Do believe, we should Work to yes, confront injustice and poverty and not have this attitude of well, you know its just sinful human nature so lets just live, eat, drink and be merry. God was Very Clear in HIS WORD, over 400 times in fact [I counted, in the Concordance] to NOT ignore the Poor, to NOT ignore Oppression and to DO SOMETHING, about it.
And no, not just give a Pittance out of one's Comfort either. WE ARE TO SACRIFICE OUR COMFORT SO THAT OTHERS CAN HAVE THE BASICS, THAT IS A COMMAND.
Though one that is NOT taught in modern day churches.
But Jesus was Very Clear on this, Numerous times and I don't think, we can really Say we KNOW HIM if we are NOT working to Give up OUR LIVES SO THAT OTHERS MAY FIND LIFE AND LIVE.
And this is something I have been pondering a lot more and more-in My LIFE. Its not Good enough for me anymore to just Write about it or to just Pray about it--while I am not rich, in America's standards, I am stinking rich, to the comparisons of many in the world so that leaves me then, to question, OK What is my responsibility to my neighbor?
And more and more I am finding that many things in My LIFE have to CHANGE, not just morally but ETHICALLY, how I consume and how I use things and how I give. How I have obligations to not OWE anyone but Love, and I do have a lot of debts...not credit card but poverty debts but still--they have to be paid.
So that leaves me with no Money to give [at least for now] but does that mean my duty Ends just because I am not able?
NO, I don't think it does so in trying to find what it is that I should be doing...I am seeing more that its in many 'little things' that I could be giving up, so that I can give more. You know one can be Poor and still be Greedy. Oh yes, while we may not shop at malls and high end stores, do we Really need that dress from the Thrift Store when we already have ten in the closet? Things like that,
and I have to think--how much have I consumed that I could have rather, sent to someone in need? Even things I find in the trashcan, I do a lot of recycling, but Could I sell them, for maybe even a dollar and feed a child?
You see, change is a process and it is NOT easy--if one Thinks it is, I suggest, Try it and see just how that 'selfish nature' in you rises up and says, "oh, but wait, that isn't too bad why its not like you are hoarding or what have you",
we live in a Society that we are Bombarded all the time with Image. Do we 'look good' and Do we have pretty homes and Do we drive the nice car and Do we Do we Do we. And our self-esteem is so influenced by these images to live up to that we don't really Realize it, but try walking outside in public in sackcloth and see just how quick that image of what Self should be--does to you.
While I am not advocating that we walk in sackcloth, because actually that is really just another form of Spiritual PRIDE that is Just as Sinful as walking around in diamonds and furs-Why? Because its drawing attention to Self and saying, "See, look at me, See how Holy I am",
when in fact,
only God is Holy and its not About OUR Holiness [our righteousness is like filthy rags God says] but its about OUR LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER.
Love doesn't Have to Prove how Holy they are, Love just is.
Its the Getting there, that I am finding, ain't so easy--not for me anyway. That is where God is working on me--and He is like Really Patient, I am seeing That more and more too.
Anyway so I was updating the blog last night and I wanted to add some more about the families, children who live in trash dumps. Years ago, my first marriage, to a man who had Lived/Worked overseas in many countries [he was much older than me and married me for a Green Card but I was young, naive, broken already and fell for the fraud but nethertheless, I DID learn a lot from him], and well anyway, he told me about the dumps in Cairo and the people living in them.
When I did some 'brief and I do mean brief' mission support work on a short term mission trip to Mexico, working with street children I saw with my own eyes, children living in dumps, children selling their bodies and I remember how Livid I was when I came back to America. I was Never the same after that---God How and Why is it that we have so stinking much here and just across the Border there are children with NO water and NO homes and NO families--babies thrown into the river because they are deformed and the mothers, poor all ready and abused/broken simply cannot provide for them...
How, Why and This is NOT RIGHT.
But it wouldn't be until years later when I myself was homeless Again [I had been homeless as youth, after running away from abusive home but for some reason being homeless With children, was more traumatic for me, I was pregnant at the time], that I would KNOW what it is, to be a society discard. I haven't been the same since and I would find myself in that situ twice in my life...as a single parent. I suffer from a form of PTSD because of it, I didn't know that until I got support from other ex-homeless and found out that was the reason I would have the triggers and fear and nightmares, it just Does something to you. That and I know what it does to women--being forced into prostitution, etc., and I won't go into details there...but I draw from those experiences.
But as BAD as all that was, it was in college that I would learn just how many people Live like that EVERY SINGLE DAY FROM BIRTH TILL DEATH. And not only that, its the ONLY WORLD THEY KNOW AND SEE...
with knowing this I wanted to do something. For many years I hated Christianity [American churchianity, cuzz it really Isn't Christian, for the most part--exceptions to this] because I saw it as a band aid, and I didn't want to just give a band aid, I wanted Revolution, I wanted it to Change...I didn't realize then though, that a lot of that rage was also my OWN rage and my OWN PAIN. And I believe that is Why so many revolutions Turn out despotic and more horrid than the prior oppressors Because of that right there. Its a type of transference of pain and rage in one's heart and so they can't change what has happened/happening to them so they project that onto changing the world...to get some kind of revenge. The Anger and Rage are understandable, even justified---but the Methods in how to go about change, often time are not, its a catch 22 really and even IF here is some change, the 'hate' that drives it, does its own little nasty death, to the ones helped and to the ones doing the Revolution. Why we never get Rid of oppression using Violence. At the same time, there will Never be Peace until there is Justice. [another issue, another time].
So like past two years I've been in my heart jumping back and forth between love and repentance and seeing the indifference to revolution and this crap Must not be allowed to continue and then Seeing how I too, have contributed to the darkness in my own ways. And just trying to Sort through it all and asking God, ok What do I do?
Well without going into detail here He's been answering me and so a lot is changing, in my life and so forth...but I feel this urge to start writing [though I will not be happy with just writing] about poverty and what feeds into it and how that WE, can do somethings, to HELP.
To HELP CHANGE IT, not just put a Band aid on it...and while we cannot change the world, we can at Least, help as many as we possibly can in some way.
So, I want to begin here, I am going to share with you, what So many in our world are living in right now, as we speak. And while I won't be writing a lot on here, to get some work done, I have thought, well maybe I should go ahead and do a series on this, to Educate and see, where it takes from there. I am also doing this for myself, because I am working on some things in My LIFE, so that I can do more, than just write and pray about these things one day and I hope, one day soon. [though, I do want to say, God reminds me, without Love, it is nothing, you can give your body to be burned and everything to the poor but if you do NOT have LOVE [God's Love] it is Nothing--and that actually is harder, at least for Me, than it is to like be a pauper, lol--so for now, just working and God is changing, He does the Work in us, not Us...not me, that's for sure].
Cambodia
In then suburb of Phnom Penh there is a district where all the garbage from the citiy is dumped. Many people live there with their whole family, most of them are migrants from the rural side of Cambodia who couldn't succeed to find a job in the city and ended up there. I have been told that they could earn more in one day on the dump than farming rice. However the dump is dangerous, many kids have been killed under the trucks discharging the dump and many are injured with the waste which is on the floor, among them medical waste. Another problem is the high level of dioxine(PCB) and methane gas which they inhale all along the day. THe families live next to the dump, in makeshifts from http://www.demotix.com/news/35347/people-living-garbage-dump-cambodia
I don't just want to Show you these things, but I want to write here about Why this horrible reality IS a reality for so many, from economics to resources to environment and What can be done to Change it. ARE there things we All could be doing? What organizations are there [Relief] that are working to change these things? Why is this not changing when we have All this wealth and technology? How do Other factors such as the Status of women contribute? [I know for fact its a Huge reason, and why the two go hand in hand]
And why has Revolutions FAILED in this...look at North Korea--word is out that they are doing mass arrests of any one the streets looking for food [they are an INSULT to communism in my book, and why the whole Maoist-Stalinist model is nothing more than a capitalist-fascist misogynist Crock]. Not only that they Shoot mothers for trying to get food while kids are dying in the Street.
There Has to be some solutions, Somewhere...we should at Least, Try.
To me, that IS what Love is, I don't know, how we can Say we KNOW God and KNOW His Love, and NOT be moved to DO SOMETHING,
to at Least, Try to do something.
I don't have the answers, I really don't, I'm messed up enough as it is in my own self-life but you know, life is more than me and this world is more than us, we are piss ants really if you look at us from outer space, how God must see us [how small we are], a tiny bit in a world with so many--but I think, the Reason we ARE here, is that, in our tiny bit, we are to Learn, to Love and Care for one another, in Action,
not just in Word.
So--I want to write on this and of course I will be weaving it it with textiles and women's rights [after all, I think they all ready are] but, for now, and of course the search for Fair Trade Chocolate,
I want to really dig in, to some of these issues, Poverty, and see, what ways, I and you, if your heart leads you here, can work, to make a difference,
even if it is,
just a small one.
Just thought of this [though I've pondered this before], that is the difference between Freedom and Authoritarianism--under Freedom we are Free to move so that we Can do something...under theocracy, fascism, totalitarianism, no one is free and therefore no one can do anything to help Anyone. When women are not free women cannot do the Duty that God demanded of them to help the poor and to be merciful. Men will be held accountable To God for that.
At the same time, Freedom is not the same as Economics, many get the two confused and think they are one and the same, they are NOT. The level of freedom and the means of how economics work are different, they may intertwine but they are more often in conflict With each other. That is why many think if you change how we do economics you Have the change Governments. That isn't true, though Fascists [all kinds, right, left, religious] have sold us that LIE.
Freedom is really not Freedom if there is sanction to oppress. Nor can true spiritual freedom to Obey God be realized under the fist of man, i.e. clergy, priests, fundies, etc. That is 'man' or 'men' playing God, not God as God. And that is a Dangerous place to be--God says NO other 'gods' before me--he was referring to MEN, Religion just as much as the totem poles and rock stones and also, if we want to get truthful here, Bible says, love of the Works of our Hands too-was deemed a 'god'.
This is why in the countries that have the most poverty, they also have Horrible status for Women, Horrible Government Restrictions on movement, etc., BUT on the Other hand, in Free nations, we will be held More accountable for what we Don't do, to help those, who are not free to Get themselves, out of Poverty. Including---those in our own backyard who are poor because of interpersonal oppression, e.g. patriarchy being a Big one there AND class elitism, not paying workers fair wages, land hoarding and robber baron rents, All which God condemns in the Bible.
IF we are born in a Free Land, I think, that we are to Take that Freedom, and give...because we are Free to do so. IF we don't,
we are actually, worse, than the depots who live under despots who 'do as they are told'.
Something to think about...

Some Updates...
UPDATE: One of the projects I am working on is Learning how to work with html, templates, etc. So if you notice some odd changes to the blog, be patient, LOL. I will be changing the layout a lot to experiment with what I like, what I don't, etc. This may take some time, I am NOT computer savvy AT all. Jane
I have added some info on trafficking to the side of the blog, and I will be adding more docs later on.
I also added a Bible reader, that is for me, to just help me when I write on these issues, but also if you like reading scripture, its there.
I may not be posting as much, because I need to catch up on some work AND I need to find that slave-free chocolate. So, if I am away for a bit, check out some of the blogs I added on the Blogs I work with or support, there are some good ones there.
Solidarity,
Jane
Will post in few weeks--unless there is a mail update, on any of the issues or a feature in a blog, I will post on that, for now, I am taking a brief leave, to do some follow up on my artwork and some other projects. Peace

Real Life Portrayed in Real Embroidery!
[EDITED] I have a few things to say this morning that I need to get off my chest. I have used some strong words here, [edited, ok God and I had a little talk, I AM angry, but its be angry and Sin not and I can't fight the devil's works using devil's tactics so I will remove some of the uh, bad words, not the strong ones but the bad ones] that I don't often use, but this issue is just to important and I don't believe that being nice, nice cuts it...not when there are real human lives at stake. Love to me, doesn't sit idly by in religious pretense and pretty silences while doing nothing in the face of evil, so forgive me for a few strong words, I wrote this from the heart, for many, who are not allowed to voice their anger nor rage, read on and I pray, you will understand. In the world of embroidery, quilting, sewing and textiles there is one thing that stands out to me more than anything, well no, two things:
CLASS AND PERSPECTIVE LENS.
And often times, its those two things that irk me to no end. Try as hard as I may to do all in my power to not think about them or give in to certain prejudices I find that eventually I have to face the reality of the world of textiles as well as the world of Women.
For example, just the other day I was browsing through one blog which I do like, a lot, and they were discussing what they liked and disliked in textile blogs. The one thing the women complained about the most was blogs that had politics and religion. The first couple of times this was mentioned it didn't bother me that much, but after about 50 comments to this regard, I found I was getting rather PISSED. After all People, Politics and Religion are just two of the BIGGEST FORCES THAT DICTATE OUR LIVES. Like, Wake the hell Up, you know...
Women, we do not have the Luxury to play Dumb Dumb and not take Heed to the world of Politics and Religion because if we do, one day, that playing Dumb Dumb WILL BITE US IN THE ASS. MEN are the Majority of policy makers and influential power forces in Both politics and religion, World wide, and don't give me this Bunk about gender parity, because while there may be a few 'token' women in politics OR in some countries maybe there are more women, the fact of the matter is, Worldwide, Women hold less Power in both areas and the world is Still dominated BY M.E.N. That's right, and that world includes TEXTILES, i.e. the world that by far exploits More women second to the Sex Industry.
I found myself getting more PISSED as the day went by and I thought on what many of the women had to say and I thought, you know, how petty and SELFISH really that so many women in textiles simply DO NOT CARE about anyone outside their little cottage vintage world UNLESS it can be displayed to the world about their 'compassion' on certain uh, world disasters. And I will DARE say it Sisters because in this world we have Women dying Horrible deaths every single day and many in our OWN BACKYARDS, RIGHT NEXT DOOR but we don't want to Hear about Politics or Religion?!!!
No, we'd rather HIDE in our worlds of art and comfort and sink our feet into the plush carpets and soak up that warm cocoa, with our needles and thread and to Hell with the rest of the World's Women. But boy oh boy, as SOON as a Law is passed that says we have to pay $$$ to get our items Tested for Lead and that is then a Threat to our uh, Profit margin [if we ever decide to sell at an bazaar sale or what have you] then its the CAT [not in a Nice way but I removed the original word I used] Claws are OUT. HOW dare they, women scream?
Well, how DARE they? Easy, while you were knitting and quilting and chatting and showing off pictures and turning a DEAF ear to Politics and Religion those who Do make policies and who ARE running the SHOW made those decisions FOR YOU, without one before hand complaint or protest from YOU. So then, who are you to Moan, Whine, and Gripe when the male and patriarchal Decision makers decide that YOU can no longer Sew at Home [and it Has been done, read your history] or when YOU can no longer Sell your items or when YOU find that your fabric has gone up through the roof because the demand has gone up...because the Sweatshop-Slave workers went on strike or attempt to, are tortured and then they join forces with more violent revolutionaries, it is Happening right now in parts of Mexico as we speak, drug cartels utilize, arms sales, and workers get in despair and they have NOTHING TO LOSE SO BLOODSHED IS THEIR ONLY OPTION where They sit and the country is unstable therefore that market is in a standstill???
FACT is Ladies and I'm going to give it to you Blunt. Thousands of Women with children who Love their children as Much as YOU love yours, are working in slave mills for 18 CENTS, do you get that, 18 CENTS OR LESS an hour IF even that, around the clock, filling Quotas sewing and Children stirring Dyes for those pretty fabrics you buy with their feet, in Toxic Banned Chemicals and dying at early ages. Those women when they Do get the Chance to Fight back, don't give a Rats ass about your Privilege, Your comforting homes, nor your BLOGS. They will side in with some of the most Militant and often Violent groups out there to SURVIVE AND WORK FOR A DECENT 'LIVING' WAGE, that means a WAGE that pays them so they can FEED their children BEANS.
BUT you don't want to Hear about Politics nor Religion.
Right now there are MEN and some women who are Fighting to make SURE that one day, there will be Laws, that are theocratic and Extremely oppressive to ALL women, including YOUR LITTLE GIRLS, and IF they succeed, your daughters won't Have the FREEDOM to sit around all day sewing and doing needlework because they will be Living in systems that throw them back into the DARK AGES and I'm not just talking about Islam either, though Islam [Sharia Law] is yes, The biggest threat we have, UK women are YOU PAYING ATTENTION? IF you think that Sharia will not effect you, may I suggest you Put down the Beer, Latte, etc., long enough to do some reading and Thinking and Listening to Those women, many who are ex-Muslims Fighting for their very LIVES in YOUR COUNTRY. These women KNOW the realities and the DANGER in ignoring the demands for Sharia Law. Same for many fundamentalist sects of Christianity, you may not Think they'll succeed, but we see just how close they've been thus far in nearly taking away our access to Birth Control in many states--forget abortion, they are working on seeing that YOU don't even have a choice to CHOOSE if you will get pregnant or not. Many would like to see it to where YOU couldn't even get Divorced if your husband Beats you or your kids.
Women, I'm sorry, but when you are burying your heads in the sand because the world is just Too ugly and in your art and leaving the Politics and Religion up to others, YOU are helping really to dig your OWN grave, and if not your OWN most Surely, the grave for your Daughters and Granddaughters,
and if YOU think, all those quilts and pretty pictures and vintage vases will Soothe their Tears if they lose their freedom, autonomy, room to create Themselves, THINK AGAIN.
When our Daughters and Granddaughters are forced to work in Sweatshops HERE [and never say never] sewing or other work not for Enjoyment but for Survival, or when there is no Work because labor has been driven So far down due to the Globalization Slave Industry and why would any company Need to pay YOU a living wage, when all they have to do is shift production OVERSEAS [and little clue for you, THIS is happening to High Tech industry, not just manual labor] don't think for a minute that your Daughters and Granddaughters aren't going to be asking, Why in the Hell didn't someone Stop this?
When there is no Work and your daughters like many Thousands of women in Other countries are seeing their children sold to Debt Bondage or their daughters trafficked into Sex Slavery or like women in Russia who have NO OTHER OPTIONS but to Sell their Bodies, to EAT, do not come crying, saying,
How oh How did this happen?
But you Don't want a Textile blog mixed with Politics and Religion.
ARE you BLIND? Do you not See what is going ON in the World IN Textiles? The Textile industry is one of the top Five largest Global industries in the World. Land is utilized for Cotton production, farmed by SLAVES, MOSTLY CHILDREN. That land, Could be utilized to grow Food. We have Tons of WASTE in clothes in The West [or did the mass of vintage and thrift shops pass you somehow and the accumulation of Clutter pass you somehow]. Waste that is Sent to Developing [can we say third world please because screw PC, that is what it Is, Haiti isn't Dubai folks], countries and Poor Women and Children are Living in those dumps, scrapping for Food and anything they can sell for a morsel of BREAD.
AT a not too long ago WTO in Hong Kong Textiles was one if not THE biggest Contention between countries, between the Rich and the Poor, Haves and Have Nots. In some countries thousands of women are BUTCHERED OVER LAND AND RESOURCES. IT takes Water to grow crops, including Cotton. There is So much more than the oh Nike doesn't pay well, to the Exploitation in Textiles, So much more.
Militant Groups form Guerrilla WARFARE Groups using those Poor women and children who have Worked doing piece meal and even worse over these Issues--political religious zealots Also manipulate these issues to further Their causes and they DO join Forces. And guess who they are going to AX first at the Chopping Block if they get a chance?
YOU, that's who.
And all those women who have lived for years sewing your tee shirts for nothing, many of them Raped by management or by men to and from work [e.g. Juarez ladies, over 1000 Women raped a YEAR,youngest victim 9 years old, tortured and dumped who Work in maquiladoras /Sweatshops to and from work and their bodies Dumped on US lands right on OUR BORDERS, as if they were nothing but Trash] and being forced to endure sleeping in filthy quarters and menstruation checks and every Other degradable thing imaginable--do you Think they are going to CARE if your precious little cottage is under attack?
NO.
They won't, and you know Why? Because when YOU could have done Something, TO CARE, you said, We don't want to Hear about religion or politics on a textile blog.
No, of course not, many would rather Pretend these things don't exist and they'll just go away if we Hide, right? But sisters, these things Don't just go away...they Grow and they Grow until one day, its RIGHT THERE KNOCKING AT YOUR DOOR.
Women in Textiles, Especially sewing, selling should really Know better, we just Had one bad law, CPSIA, hit hard and that Still isn't over. So maybe it doesn't effect YOU, because you're married and its just a hobby on the side, but you see, these laws have a domino effect, they Do effect more of the Working Class women and especially women Overseas who may have formed Coops to sell items so they AREN'T having to SELL THEIR BODIES, BODIES THAT GOD DIDN'T CREATE TO BE USED AND ABUSED NOR DID GOD CREATE THEM TO BE NOTHING MORE THAN PENIS ASHTRAYS, SOLD AND RAPED [PROSTITUTION/TRAFFICKING] TO HUNDREDS OF MEN.
Sorry if that is too Crass for you, actually, NO, I am not sorry. You Need to be told, TRUTH. And your little recycle here and there don't cut it...Look, its really simple ladies,
You're either Part of the Problem or you are Part of the Solution. IF you do not care now, fine...but Rest Assured, your Indifference, your Apathy, will one day, be in the face of your Daughters and Granddaughters. Maybe you Don't care about the Woman next door or across the Globe, but DO you care for Them? Your future Generations?
Women in the days of Vintage, [antiquity] Did care, Textiles in many a period of time was not just a 'hobby' but it was a means of Political Expression, the ONLY one women had, the ONLY room women had to actually Get together and Where do you think the Solidarity Formed to Fight for
Voting Rights?
In women's groups where MEN did not have the upper hand of domination---quilting, sewing, poetry readings and church, Yes,Religion. In many countries today, where there is WAR and Mass RAPES women are Fighting for the Room to form groups with other women to sew, to do Anything, to be able to REBUILD broken communities, or to preserve their culture, e.g. women in Palestine are doing this NOW, with the FEW resources they have. BUT YOU don't want to hear about religion and politics.
In Argentina, when the Corrupt Governments [both far left and far right] Sold the people out---and there were NO jobs, and many Textile companies went under leaving countless Women who had 10 children to support [because birth control is NOT an option] were left with NO source of Income. IT was those WOMEN, who formed Solidarity and Took over a plant that had been closed down and they began to sew and sell and be a Political Voice--they did what they call TAKE BACK,
and the Revolution Began. [this didn't happen in 1500 sisters but in the 90s] Next thing MEN started doing the same---these people took the empty factories and they took BACK production and sold items and became Competitors and they SAVED JOBS, FOR HUNDREDS, they FORMED UNIONS, and they Fought the Corrupt Leftists and the Corrupt Rightists who did All in their power to put these people in jail, where they would be Tortured, they fought the Police [also corrupt] and they put their Lives on the LINE---so that people could LIVE, SURVIVE,
AND THIS WAS STARTED BY WOMEN WHO SEW.
But YOU don't want to hear about Religion or Politics.
The Reason we have So many bad laws and court biases and women in horrible circumstances ISN'T because of the Liberals or the Republicans, oh no, its Because Too many women, PRIVILEGED AND WHOM GOD HAS BEEN MERCIFUL TO, simply do NOT care about Anyone other than Themselves.
Does that sting?
GOOD, maybe it will make you Think, and maybe it will make you See outside your Cottage door. And see, that the World is a much bigger place with Real People and Real Women who are right now, Bleeding, Crying out, Suffering, Hell you couldn't even Imagine, even After seeing the worst horror flick,
and waiting for YOU, to CARE. To just at least, CARE and NOT just because its a big to do on Public Airwaves and everyone else is doing something--of Course many are helping Haiti [and that's a good thing], Funny thing is though, it takes a Natural Disaster for many WOMEN to Give a Hoot, Care, Concern,
Haiti has been suffering for Years, with the help of OUR TAX DOLLARS, oh yea Sister, they KNOW what Oppression is, and those Women KNOW what it is to be working for nothing, having to sell their bodies, having to earn cents for Piecemeal work and their kids in street gangs and police terror,
WHERE THE HELL WAS YOUR COMPASSION THEN?
Did you even KNOW about Haiti? For many, I doubt it.
I'm sorry but This just needs to be Said...I Expect indifference from Men when it comes to the Plight of Women overseas and here at home, but NOT from Women.
You may say, oh I do a little here, hey, that's Great. I commend you for that, I am not saying you have to put your life down and join the Peace Corp, but at Least, Give a Damn about someone other than yourself to Educate yourself, in your line of work, to See that maybe, maybe you might be able to Do somethings, to Make a Small Difference. And to Do that, you need to know a little about, yes, what is Going on in Religion and in Politics.
And you can count on it, the Next time, you say, you don't want to Hear about Religion or Politics on a Textile Blog---you will be hearing from me...because for Thousands of Women,
THEY NEED US, TO HEAR, TO ACT, THEIR LIVES, DEPEND ON IT.
and THE LIVES OF OUR DAUGHTERS AND GRANDDAUGHTERS DEPEND ON IT AS WELL...DON'T FORGET IT.
In solidarity,
Jane

Yes, I do moderate comments, spam, yet I've not needed to much. I am, however, closing comments on This topic, I will not argue, nor debate, this simply needs to be said and I wrote it, to encourage Thinking...its the Least, many women, can do. Maybe then, they'll do more to Act, and reflect, that we do NOT live in a bubble, every choice we make Does touch others, the Good Samaritan did NOT wait for the beggar to crawl to him, he rather, went Over to the beggar. There are MILLIONS of WOMEN and CHILDREN in our world that are Just like that beggar Jesus talked about--and too many Women, aren't just passing by, Hell they Don't even want to Look. Well, I'm here to say, I Won't make that easy for you. Thank you.
Why We Need More than Anti-Sweatshop Activism
I am doing the Unthinkable, :0,
I am posting here, an article, from a rather 'left' site [yes, Union, probably more socialist-even communist] on the issue of Sweatshops. I know, I know, some of you will just be beside yourselves but Before you go off in a fury, do me a favor,
read the Article first. While I am NOT a 'socialist', been there and done that and I do NOT agree with many of their stands, [esp the lack of Women's Autonomy, the all boys club was a big Turn off for me why I got out of the far left]
I Do have to say, when it comes to exposing the TRUTH about Labor [women labor included] and the exploitation of AND the Complicated obstacles workers and communities face when Dealing or confronting these infrastructures they are some of The Best when it comes to Analysis of the problems.
So, readers for a Better Understanding of Why there are Sweatshops and Why it difficult in eradicating them And other forms of slavery, it sometimes is beneficial read those who spend their lives fighting for yes, worker rights. Because they do their research AND they talk person to person WITH those very workers who are fighting for rights we take for granted.
I am doing some research on women and labor/textiles and sewing, [including some from Biblical days and Christian women then and Textiles, oh Yes! I found some things, though I need to find a translation from French] I hope to be adding some PDF files here eventually so that readers can Educate themselves on the problem and the Historical influences of, and one thing you will notice is how Women, have at so Many times been at the Forefront of Change, in Worker's Rights. Why? Because its Usually women, who get exploited the most, feminization of Poverty.
We CAN NOT, I emphasize, CAN NOT, talk Any kind of Liberation for Women if the Economics FORCES THEM INTO STAYING WITH ABUSE. And ECONOMICS IS YES, A HUGE PART, IN HOW PATRIARCHY IS ENFORCED AND IS MAINTAINED. [regardless of our Faith this applies to ALL WOMEN].
Kid yourself not...therefore This issue is Very important, to All women. Because even secure Married Women, may find themselves one day, Widows [and usually that is the case] and their chances of living in Poverty, are very likely. In Economic downturns, this is even More likely,
and it is Why we ARE seeing an influx of the rise of Homeless Women with Children and Homeless Elderly in THIS country. So,
the article, I will post part here, and the rest, the link. I do NOT concur with the Solutions of the Parties per se, I lean more anarcho in that regard [but I do agree on many issues, some I do just not all, I am a Grass Roots person, don't do the whole government force garbage BUT the analysis is right on target--so, here goes]
Finding an Anti-Sweatshop Strategy That Works by Jeff Ballinger
That nearly twenty years of anti-sweatshop activism has come to naught is suggested by the cost breakdown of a $38 University of Connecticut hoodie that appeared in the Hartford Courant a couple of years ago: the workers received a mere 18 cents, while the university received $2.24 in licensing fees. (Mexican factory: profit, 70 cents; overhead, $2.12; material, $5.50–distributor [Champion]: overhead $5.10; profit $1.75–Seller [UCONN Co-Op]: overhead, $14.49; profit, $4.50). The workers’ share could hardly have been lower when the movement began.
Given the worldwide financial crisis, it is a safe bet that fighting sweatshop abuses here and abroad will not be a key policy undertaking for Barack Obama and his team. But this does not rule out a wide-ranging set of initiatives that would significantly empower workers. Tweaking our foreign assistance priorities, revising “democracy promotion,” and undertaking diplomacy from a community organizer’s perspective—these changes in U.S. policy would at least begin an assault on global sweatshop practices. And they are especially important as an antidote to the solipsism of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), wherein corporate “self-regulation” teams are rebranded as “activists” by lazy and compliant media. The new administration needs to connect with real labor activists, in Asia and Central America especially, and allow them to speak for themselves.
But first we need to collect information on sweatshop practices abroad and make it available to activists, who often can’t collect it themselves.

Again, I am posting this for Informative ONLY---not for Policy, I believe that Women need to step up to the Plate and work to Free Women, Globally, as Autonomous, OUTSIDE OF POLITICS AND MALE DOMINATED MACHINERY, including IDEOLOGY. But for Understanding, I will be posting some informative articles here, as to What we are Up Against.

MY MISSION, TO FIND 'REASONABLE' COST SLAVE FREE CHOCOLATE IN AMERICA
I am on a mission, to find Reasonable [because some of us are NOT rich and our grocery budget is limited and no our children do NOT want to live on beans and water LOL] Fair Trade-Slave FREE chocolate,
and I'm talking about baking chocolate, not just candy bars. So, I've seen tons in UK and in Australia,
but where I am at,
the choices are nill to none.
I've thus far found some candy bars, that's it...and only dark chocolate. And they were 'seasonal' so, I will be checking Whole Foods which is the only place I have found online that even Sells Fair Trade chocolate in the States, at least where I am.
This Really makes me angry, I'd like to SUE Hershey's and the Rest of them for selling Child Slave Chocolate, to think that My children and I for years, baked, cooked, drank and ate, chocolate harvested by Child Slaves!
It IS infuriating, it really is. How dare they really? And the fact that they hide this from the public, is a type of Fraud.
America the Free--but oh, the chocolate your kids eat--its made by kid slaves.
Yep, just dandy ain't it?
Makes me sick....really does.
I will be writing a lot on this because Valentine's Day is coming up, and we know that day is a huge one for selling Chocolates---not only that but the flowers too, often are farmed by slaves. I stopped buying flowers long time ago due to that [unless its local food market and grown here, but even There you have to be careful--some exploit migrant workers].
OK then,
will tell you what I find out, when I find out.
On another note, I want to re-post this here, because the work this man is doing to save young women and girls/children who have been trafficked into sex slavery, is just inspiring...
in my book, a man who really Shows Christ in Action. A man who gives me hope, that yes, we Can make a difference.

Also, to the side bar, I added two links to blogs, two Amazing women, who work pretty much Daily, advocating for human rights. Green Consciousness, whom I've corresponded with for some time, does so much for advocating for animal rights and women's rights, including confronting oppression in Islam. I make mention of that because it's one of my pet peeves is the selling OUT of these women by so many Western feminists...and Green is not Right Wing [nor am I for that fact] yet she is diligent in standing up for the rights of ALL women, no matter what religion, culture, region, etc and well, I just love her. Though she may not get a lot of popularity, she plugs on, non stop...writing and advocacy and she's dedicated her Life to standing up for those with little power. Her blog roll is one if not The BEST resources for just about Any issue pertaining to women's human rights. She is truly, a warrior for women whom I am honored, to have been able to meet and work with.
Another blog, I have her listed in two other places, Live Honestly, another amazing woman who works hard in connecting and advocating against trafficking of women, children and animals. She dedicates her photography to the causes as well. I have corresponded with her and she's just a really awesome person and she inspired me.
You know, its not Easy writing blogs like this because they Can be controversial and they aren't always about subject matter that women want to read about...they can hit nerves, you know, not only that but they are not always cheerful and bright. More so however, is that they don't necessarily fit into any 'box', e.g. I am Christian but I am more to the left on numerous issues and I am a feminist. Not exactly your run of the mill, if you know what I mean...however I am not anti-maternal or anti-feminine either,
I guess you could say, some of us are just an eclectic lot who care about people and don't like to see suffering and want to do something, to make this world, at least try, a better place. Its hard because writing on issues as Individuals rather than as a member of a group think tank, well, you don't always have the support you would if you were writing with a group, per se.
But we do it, because we believe in the issues, they matter to us. And when I first started blogging on issues I often times became frustrated because if I didn't 'fit' into a certain 'political or religious or ideological' mold I would get the nasty comments and so forth and it was easy to just think,
ok Why am I doing this? But then I met Green and then a few other individuals who are just that, individuals who really do not care if they fit into a certain personality type or group or what have you...who write/advocate/work because they want to see change, real change,
and those individuals so many times inspired me to keep on, to not give up, to keep working for change as well as change in My own life and in my own person/even my relationship with God, to become what I preach, know what I mean...
to Live what I believe, and as I grow and learn....all I can say is, I didn't do it alone. I had a lot of inspiration and help and encouragement from many of the bloggers I have listed, especially on the women confronting patriarchy in Christianity, women confronting patriarchy and abuses in other countries/religions and people,
who have dedicated their lives and work, to lift up others.
And as I write and learn about many issues, I learn about myself, good and bad. And how it is important, to live in our lives and to love others, as much as it is, to be vocal about injustices elsewhere. Of all the lessons I have learned,
that one, is the Most important of all. I would have never thought, years ago that the activism would challenge me as a person and would eventually lead me to my Faith...because you see, you can't just rage at the darkness you have to also walk the walk, not as Easy I am finding. Yes, I admit it...you see sometimes we can rage at the injustices of the world to mask our own demons, so you kind of have to deal with both,
confront the darkness in the world and the darkness that is in ourselves. [if we are being honest] I always found the first to be much easier, but love works like that, eventually it touches you and then you see yourself in the mirror and realize how you have hurt others too, in word or deed, in action, and it may not be like a gross human right abuse but you know,
hurt is hurt, and when you realize how those little hurts are all connected to the bigger picture,
well, it just changes you. God does work in mysterious ways, that's for sure. Well anyway...
that's it in a nutshell, now I"m off, to see about that chocolate. I will post here, what I find out.
Peace, Love and Solidarity,
Jane
Just some things I've worked on this Winter
Well, while I don't normally post my personal work, etc., life on here...I thought, I would add a few photos...they aren't the best, the lighting at our little home is extremely poor so winter time, pictures are hard to come by. AS you can see, when We have Winter, we have Winter, LOL
and...
some embroidery I did for my daughter...a pillow case [reconstructed] of a Vintage Clown, that we drew from a photo of a vintage clown.
I will see if I can get a better close up,
OK well the close up sort of not so great there, LOL, I wanted to try and get a better close up, because it's the first time I incorporated the Turkey Stitch into any of my embroidery work--the Pom Poms, and while they were adorable, they weren't as easy as I thought they'd be. The hat, I did a Jacobean type of stitch--with silver metallic thread [a real pain in the ass to use, LOL, but I love to use metallic in my works when I can] and the shoes I did I think, lol, if memory serves me right, in a cross stitch? Well, I did this case in a hurry, its not my best work, but there are about 10 different types of stitches, from a simple stem to padded satin to oh, the french knots the neck line--Those came out awesome. The pillow case was cut-sewn out of an old good cotton sheet, from France of all places, that was stained. I got it in a great deal when buying some material from estate sale--for free. The woman threw some stained things in with the fabric remnants I bought and some sewing notions.
And some of my OLDER, way older reconstructs, when I first got started--
like this Painted broken piece of cement-not the best of pic, the one I had was ultra small [the good pics are on our Mac with is without monitor for the time being],
and this flower [for Fall] arrangement, made from trash finds, to the flowers/styro-foam, to the broken 'fountain' which is the vase, and a really bad shape bird bath that someone had tried to paint [a trash can find], so we use it only for decor [due to possible lead].

I've had this bee cement yard stone now for about, gee, 7 years I think, it lasted That long. Actually, I had done a couple of these, that I had in the front yard of our old mobile. I had planted a beautiful garden and when the park had moved in another mobile in across the streets, the truck hauler ran over all of them but two. I only have this one left, it will need to be repainted this spring however as its now starting to chip a bit in places. I think I drew the picture off of some advertisement, with a lot of primer on the cement [just regular cement stone] so the acrylics would set--and LOTS of sealer. The one I loved, that I think we lost in the move or it got taken, can't recall, the one I did my own artwork, a type of Monet's garden, with Crayon mixed with paint. For some reason, the Crayon was more vivid AND it lasted longer, without fading. Maybe the wax????
Anyway I'd paint these broken cement stones and you just put a rock behind them to stand them up, and they look awesome in a yard/with flowers. I had planted a pretty wild garden then, more natural--here where we are at now, the soil SUCKS, like big time-all clay and well, used to be a landfill I'm sure, most Mobile Home parks are [yea, that whole lets put the working class on toxic landfills, LOL and flood plains]
but anyway, we do mostly container garden here, except my husband grows some pretty good zucchini in the middle of yard, under a broken recycled swing set--that we use to hang up bird seed planters, and we have Hundreds of birds hanging out, including in our car port. They seem to like it here, so do squirrels,
in fact, we've had one squirrel this past summer, rip a hole in our screen, and jump in the Kitchen. Good thing we have cats and a dog--and some parrots. The cats and dog kept the squirrel in one place until we could get the window out, LOL,
yea, That was Fun! The yard was neglected for a couple of years when my back got worse [perm spine damage-lower to sacral joint, didn't walk for long time] but its better now, so I hope to get working on it this year and put up some different reconstructed things. I use a lot of natural branches, etc., including a huge one hanging on our porch with recycled flowers, ivy, shells and what have you, I change it to match the seasons.
And my record [vinyl] BOWL came out great, well, sort of, LOL, I'm using it to hold my wire and wire cutters--and I melted down a small 45 and not sure if I'll use it as a candle base or something else. This week, I'm cutting out some geese and roosters out of fabric for decoupaging jars, the big pickle jars, that I use for sugar, pasta, etc. Just not sure yet how I will do the borders of these little creatures to keep them from fraying. Hmmmm
And Later this week, I'll try to get some photos up of the first set of decoupaged jars I have done--am still needing to seal them when I can get some water based sealer. They are so much fun to do and so Cheap--like Free! That's the best thing, free and recycling at the same time! The downside is that I'm not doing any sewing/embroidery, still have three projects there that need finishing, a crazy patchwork denim-purse that needs to be embroidered, a crazy patchwork not sure what the heck I'm going to do with it--with beading, more of a sampler, and a abstract/my own artwork-embroidery laptop sleeve--that is a bit more complex, for what I usually do. The artwork that is,
and still have aprons I need to finish. I do that at times, I get on a roll, then get busy with something else, and I really Really need to get more focused and disciplined, if I'm going to get my business moving along. Lack of confidence I think is a lot of it--but God reminded me today, that I didn't know how to sew, cook, none of the domesticated stuff [except embroidery] due to leaving home at such a young age [long story, lets just say, my childhood was not a good one and for a year I lived in an orphanage so, yea boo hoo LOL], but well anyway, so I had to teach myself all these things,
with God's help. Oh, I knew how to wash dishes, work the fields [worked fields at 12 years old-maize] and how to work, but I didn't have a mother to teach me, so--
I forget these things, and find I compare myself a lot to other women and feel inadequate, but He reminded me today, that I didn't come from a background like that--it wasn't until my early to mid twenties that He encouraged me to Learn these skills. They need some polish, [though I do cook pretty good, LOL, gained enough weight and my family as evidence, lots of stews and yes, I cook from scratch, cheaper--but I HATE the amount of dishes and pots it takes--my baking, eh, well, two out of three ain't bad Right? :0 ]
but, He was faithful then, and still is, in fact, I am reminded, just how much, He really did, mother me, and fathered me [because I had neither, one absent and the other not so great] and well--I forget that sometimes.
Sometimes I think, He reminds us, of our accomplishments--rather than us dwelling on failures and shortcomings.
:)

TO KNOW GOD, ONE FIRST HAS TO REALLY UNDERSTAND
JUST HOW 'NOT god' THEY ARE....HOW SMALL WE TRULY ARE, AND HOW 'SINFUL' WE TRULY ARE--AND HOW 'STUPID' OUR PRIDE AND ARROGANCE IS,
VANITY.
HOW FRAIL OUR LIFE IS, THAT WE ARE MERE CLAY...
AND JUST HOW, WHEN YOU SEE, HOW HORRIFYING HUMBLING, FEARFUL, IT IS.
STILL DON'T BELIEVE?
GOD SAYS, HE'S IN THE WHIRLWIND...ISN'T IT AMAZING, HOW MANY THINGS TURN IN A WHIRLWIND LIKE MOTION?

The Toxicity of Religions Especially to Women
cross posting my reply [on another blog] in response to Man's making God into his image since beginning of time AND what if Women could have written the Bible--been free to read and write, what would the Bible be like...
my reply:
Comment by Jane

Well, that’s just it isn’t it? No woman Wrote any part of the Bible,
which, dumping the Meth like poison of Religion and using common sense, we See that there is some deeply embedded Misogyny in Religions. No one asks, if its such a Shame for women to ’speak in the church’ then what the hell will Heaven be like? And all boys club with silent women as decor, or worse?
And why do women even pray or sing, if speaking is such a Disgrace? I say, don’t sing in church, sing in Bars where its NOT a disgrace, seriously, if one is going to follow the misogynist religions.
Been thinking on this a lot and the thing that kept coming back to me, for Those of you who have these good marriages, you all have one thing in common,
Education. IF, IF you had not that education and Only the Bible doctrines I don’t think you’d be so Enlightened…
there is a Reason they called the ‘religious ruled years’ the Dark Ages and the Science years, the Age of Enlightenment.
And it was that Enlightenment, when Human Rights became conscious—
not in the Dark Ages, where thousands of thousands of WOMEN were Butchered, by none other than
Religion.
Like Meth, it’s toxic, it poisons the body, destroys the soul, and Both make sleepless slaves/sex slaves out of Women esp [Prov 31 is used like Meth to women]
but the difference is, Meth, horrible as it is, is easier, to ‘detox’ from than Religion.
And I think, the brain actually, damaged as it becomes on meth, probably has a better chance, of restoration–because religion with its fear of hell and rejection of question and the belief that human reasoning is evil [how convenient for the power apparatus eh] and that submission to ’self death martyrdom’ esp to women is the road to Heaven [or suicide bombing-not that different really] and the psychological FGMS and Burkas that ‘doctrines’ do to women,
no wonder, prozac doesn’t even work to free the religious soul–but will help, the ex Meth addict.
Ain’t it something…
if one doesn’t question these FACTS, then one obviously is denying the poisonous results, kind of like denying there is a cancer,
you can deny it, but it still kills ya.

New Blogs Added This Week!
[in addition to post below, for today]
ON a lighter note, I wanted to tell you about the new blogs I added this week, and also, I will be continuing the God, the Master Artist, series this month. I would like to more depth to the series as well as more detail, to the textures that I often notice in nature, botany, etc. I haven't put into this blog what I would like to, due to time limits, but hopefully one day I can sit down and do some serious writing. I am also using a very old laptop with half of the keys missing, while they work, it's a real pain typing on here, so I limit my writing to bare minimum and I don't edit like I should. I've become quite lazy where that is concerned.
But anyway, enough ranting about me, my writing woes and all, LOL, to the blogs, there are so many wonderful blogs I find during the week's research and I'd love to add them all, but I do have some criteria for what I add here. And the reason I choose certain blogs, in the topic they are filed under, esp where textiles is concerned is 1. they have a mixture of ideas that can be used for creative Recycling and Reconstructing for every day use, esp in the home. I especially like the Vintage sites because one does not have to be 'high or even middle class' income to incorporate many of the ideas, and I wanted to make sure there were means that All women could utilize, from the rural to the inner city. Not only that, but many of the ideas do not take a lot of time, with many women having or choosing to work they do not have all day to sit and do artwork, their schedules are full therefore they do not have the time to put into hours upon hours searching stores and flea markets for finds, etc., and many of the sites utilize things that we already have in our homes.
There are a few sites I've included that are more geared to the Homemaker, however, they have a huge list of blogs in Their sites, that I included for those of you who do like to browse through Vintage or Homemaking blogs. So I wanted to sort of create a mix-mash of blogs, to appeal to different tastes. Not only have I included homemaking blogs/vintage but you'll notice in the Seeing through the Eyes of Embroidery I added a few more and also in the Women making a Difference through Art, including a women's literature blog.
You will find that in many different means, particularly those deemed the 'more traditional' that women have in their own way, utilized traditional arts for expression, as well as working through those to contribute to changing the world, each in her own way. It is of my strong opinion that this is somewhat of a silent revolution of sorts, one that the radical lot doesn't pay much attention too simply because women's traditional 'arts' is considered by many to be nothing more than foolishness. Why its not corporate or its not that law degree, etc. Those attitudes are still somewhat strong in society and they are very misleading. Because the truth of the matter is, in many social and political changes it has been women who led, in ways that often go unnoticed. I don't know if all women realize just how powerful women working together can be, and it is one of my goals is to encourage women, that yes, that knitting club or that quilting club, can be a Powerful means of Change. Real change, not just for fundraising or for lining the pockets of larger corporations who exploit women's labor,
but real change for Women. Many do not understand or grasp that the work of women--is so powerful, that despots throughout history And still today, use policies to do all in their power to limit or completely silence or isolate women IN those traditional worlds because they Know, just how powerful, women coming together, in worlds where men don't hang out much in, e.g. quilting or embroidery, etc., and when women put their strengths together, Nothing, is Impossible.
Stalin knew this, as did Mao, as do the tyrants in many countries, that is why many guilds are forced to go Underground---in Palestine, there is a resistance movement of women using embroidery to preserve Palestinian culture, outside the controls of government AND males on all sides of the conflict.
While there can be, yes, differences among women and even women working against each other, due to what they are fighting for, where they sit, etc., the amazing thing about arts is that in arts or music, it is common to find that others, are really not that different from us, that we all want, on many levels, the same things, Peace, Prosperity, and Love. Not maybe in that order but you get my point...that is another reason, the power apparatus, those who thrive on hate and dogma and war and misogyny/patriarchy, do all in their power to Control women's spaces and to limit the room in which women work. Nationalists and Religious Dogmatists and Political Dogmatists especially do this because if they can isolate women, they can create borders around them to where the worlds become closed, but what is so dangerous there is that those borders then become prisons---for women. And evidence shows, that in those closed borders, violence against women increases, particularly in times of conflict and war.
For many women their Only outlet IS in the arts, by arts I mean what many term as crafts. I don't like the term crafts because to me, its a form of trivializing women's art as not as serious or as beneficial or as intelligent as the art world of men. I believe that is really where the term 'craft' derived from, it was a means of belittling or ridiculing women's art works. Why I don't use that term. Though I realize that some arts could be classified as just mere crafts---just for fun projects, to me, they are still art, a means of expression, that are just as valuable as the Picasso hanging up in a museum. They were all created and worked by hands, hands that belong to minds, minds that belong to
women.
Each unique in her own way...with each one, having something to offer, something we can learn from, something we can gain by, be enriched by, be better people because of.
I also added the Photo a Day Planet Earth blog [see the two birds], a wonderful blog with a new photo, around the globe added daily. These photos are breathtaking and informative. They are also inspirational, for poetry, painting, needlework, whatever your favorite art medium may be. I like these types of blogs just because I am reminded of God's amazing creation--in so many ways and I don't think we could list them all in any book. I learn something new every day, just do a google search on insects in Indonesia, for images, just that alone, is just mind blowing...there are bugs I never knew existed, Huge Bugs...now that is some embroidery there, LOL. [ideas already, see!]
Many of the blogs I choose also have 'how to's' or links To those 'how to's' so you aren't just left hanging there, thinking, Hey I could do that, but how? I have found for some projects you have to search through these listing types of sites and some of them can be a real pain in the butt to use, so I try to include those blogs that will list sites of reference for you. Or I will add the how to's occasionally here, especially where recycling/reconstruction is concerned--in the Ways you can Help--there are some idea blogs listed there. I added the Mixed Melange to give you an idea of how mixed mediums can be used, such as if you have lets say, wire, papers, jewels, etc., lying around and you aren't sure how to recycle them, that site will give you somewhat of an idea, and one art medium popular today is what they term 'alt art'. Much of it I think is a bit gothic, but the ideas could be incorporated into any style you wanted.
Now, for the more politically minded readers you may be thinking, how in the world can any of this info be helpful to change. Well, for starters, recycling in the arts, does a lot to limit consumption, especially needless consumption. It also limits the destruction of forests, such as recycling paper, which saves animal habitats, which also saves land for growing food...reconstructing fabrics, limits the demand for sweatshop labor and cotton slavery.
Because when you learn about these things and incorporate them into your life you become a part of the Solution, rather than part of the problem and you begin to Care about the issues. People see and they ask and you tell them and then you are educating, informing...
it's a domino effect. That is what made handmade so powerful, the Indie markets, and why do you think, the pirg groups who are supported by political interests who are in alliance with China, etc., nations that thrive on sweatshop labor and so forth, worked to pass laws that will clamp down on homemade and so forth? There is more to it, than just bad laws--there are reasons for those bad laws and its the bigger forces behind them. Sometimes those laws are passed using 'good pretexts' that are misleading--why they get the public support that they do--until, the public realizes that the good was just a cover for something far more sinister.
And its usually those sinister policies that hurt women and that work to create even tighter borders that constrict women and limit her autonomy or completely restrict her autonomy. The levels of which this restriction is felt has a lot to do with race and class, especially class. That is why laws will have far more dire consequences to some while others can somewhat rise above them BUT when more and more laws are past that are fascist in some way, eventually Everyone, is under the fist of tyranny...tyranny doesn't always have to come with an iron fist, the most dangerous tyranny, is the one that comes,
with the smiling face and open hand.
Just like with abusive relationships, it kind of works like that, men come with roses and poetry next thing you know he's Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. OK not the best analogy but you get my point...
My point is, patriarchy works like this, in the personal as well as the political...and its always, the attack on women's room of her own, her own space, her own body, her own friends, her own world, that becomes more and more, restricted and confined and isolated until she finds herself with no recourse and sadly, in many authoritative and totalitarian nations women live just like this, like bugs in a microscope, who are watched day and night, policed by men and even by other women who will sell out sister for her own little tiny bit of room to move, to breathe, though she too, will be under the thumb of the oppressors.
In many countries women are not allowed to create or to even sing...they can be killed for it.
That is why I do what I do here...we have so much, freedom, even with the patriarchal forces we contend with in the West, compared to so many sisters in other regions, we have no idea really, some women yes, Do know what living under that suffocation is, I do, but even with that, there is Still, hope here. In many places, there isn't, their only hope is Death. In Afghanistan young women every day attempt suicide by lighting themselves on fire to escape horrible abuse and rape, forced marriages, etc., and many women in Iran do the same--
many women and Children who are sold and raped and forced into sex slavery, their only hope outside of being rescued is Death--for many HIV is the way OUT of the hell they endure day in and day out. That or a life of drug addiction, that eventually leads to Death.
Women worldwide are the most easily to be exploited for labor, sex slavery [obviously] and domestic slavery, women and children...that is why numerous corporate transnationals and misogynist politicians/or totalitarians do not care to see women empowered in autonomous economic ways. It sends a powerful message to women. Be they bully husbands or bully religious leaders or bully politicians or bully ideologists, they all have one thing in common,
to restrict 'space' and to have the ultimate control over autonomy. And its usually, women who are the ones being bullied...power equals might in this world and we know, power corrupts. Many will read this and think this is an overstatement, an ad hoc,
but Is it? Look at the level of violence against women in our world today, complete gendercides [a form of genocide] in some countries, e.g. Congo,
knowledge is power. But there has to be Room to utilize that knowledge and to Do something with it, or it just sits and rots and dies.
That is why, we must, do all we can, to preserve, to nurture, and to care for women's spaces and that includes in the space of her art. We must work to uplift and encourage and to work so that All women, can be free,
to express herself, without hindrance, without restriction, and without suffocation.
The New Blogs Listed are:
http://vintageindie.typepad.com/
I added this blog because it included vintage with eco living, with many resources from artists to places that sell eco to indie as well as a host of inspirational ideas.
http://subversivestitch.blogspot.com/
I added this blog because its a wealth of information for quilters/and long time artists but also many good resources and links here of women in arts working for causes. A lot of great wealth of info on this blog, and I love the term subversive, LOL.
http://deenasstory.blogspot.com/
I found this blog browsing one day and she is an amazing strong woman, who is fighting cancer. The day I found her blog I was in one of my dark moments [I suffer from PTSD and OCD] and just well, if you know depression and so forth then you'll understand what I mean...but when reading her blog I left it with a better hope, gratefulness and well, just had to add her here, she needs our prayers so...
http://thepleasuresofhomemaking.blogspot.com/
It's not what you think....
OK, well that Valentine Tree made with cheerio boxes did it for me, She Had to be added here! I will have to do a similar project now, LOL, and I was just wondering what one could do with 'boxes' like cereal and crackers, who'd have thought? Since I started decoupaging glass jars and saving coffee cans for projects I've become quite obsessed with the whole do not throw away I could do something with that now, and last week, I made two record bowls--awesome. Anyway so I looked through her site and She does some Beautiful things for her home using her slightly used things and making them into something new. Not only is this good for recycling but its good budget sense.
and on the Blogs that Inspire me, I added some new ones and this one, I want to mention,
http://cozylittlehouse.blogspot.com/
I added this one because of the Gardening and I am going to be, here this spring, adding some posts about Wildlife Gardening--because this is something we do on a very Low budget...it CAN be expensive, and we've found ways to work around the expense--but many are having to cut budgets and there are means in gardening where you can grow food and herbs and also save water AND help wildlife.
I also browse through her blog because I get ideas for my embroidery/decoupage, etc., and well, its just fun. She also has tons of good links,
and there are some other blogs under that same topic that have tons of good links to other blogs too.
Then, I added to the Resource info section [near the bottom] for embroidery/and textiles, the
http://handembroiderynetwork.blogspot.com/
No words needed to explain there---it is global.
I do want to say the Textile blog, http://thetextileblog.blogspot.com/
is an Informative/Educative History of Textiles, that includes styles, history, labor, you name it, why I added it.
I have many more blogs bookmarked but I didn't add them all, some I just browse through for inspiration for my artwork/or reconstruction, many of them I didn't add or bookmark because they were more geared towards 'purchasing' rather than creating...and that's not the purpose of this blog but they are some nice ones out there, where vintage is concerned and all but you can get Tons of them and then after a while they all sort of look the same. And I haven't added the sewing blogs though I do bookmark them, because most of them are just sewing for private or for boutiques...many of them were more to the higher dollar and well,
for me, for this blog, I really want to just stay focused on means that any woman could utilize without having to fork out lots of dollars. So if I didn't include your blog that in no way means I don't like it or your artwork...I probably have it bookmarked for my own use. There are just so many beautiful textile blogs out there and art blogs and one can get lost in time just browsing them all! IF, however, you do a certain type of artwork and its not listed here, and want some references, tell me in the comments, I might very well have something book marked because I have marked tons of them. From sewing to paper art to photography to painting to poetry, knitting to crochet, you name it, I probably have it somewhere.
One thing I do want to do and that is to begin adding some street art [what I call it, what my homies call it, I don't use all my talk language here, LOL but that is what we call friends here, homies] , because I find that often there is a lot of under representation of women artists who live in the inner cities, and you know their works are just amazing. I lived in the inner city once, before they regentrified and kicked all the working class out and I still remember the art community there--where I somewhat got my inspiration to recycle in my artwork in the first place. Flickr is a good site that shows a lot of their works, and I will one day soon, be doing a post on that.
And btw, do check out the Follower's blogs, in the Who Follows Section. I don't say this often but I do know you are here and I do browse your blogs so--want to mention you, and for one of you I may go ahead and add some of the sewing blogs--there are a couple that you might like. Yea, I may go ahead and add a section there, maybe a small one--I thought I added a recycle sewing, I'll have to check. I just wanted to limit a bit, to not overwhelm the page, there is just so much but, well, I'll work with it. LOL
ok, well
That's all for now, have a good rest of the week.
In solidarity,
Jane

RELIGION'S HARM TO WOMEN PART II
I hesitated whether I should leave the first post on here or not, I felt a bit regretful for having posted it, as I did on a day I was struggling with my faith---
but I decided to leave it up, for a couple of reasons. One, it is true, in all 'religions' women have been demonized. FACT. We can't deny this fact just because it challenges our Faith, nor Should we. Actually, IF we deny this FACT, then we are actually polluting the Christian faith, because misogyny flies in the face of Jesus and Grace, misogyny is centered on HATE, it clearly says in John, if you hate your brother [brother in that language of that time means like comrade, brethren, both male And female], one does not know the Truth nor God because GOD IS LOVE. Not only that, Jesus gave us way too many examples of how He treated women--neither do I condemn ye He said...that had more meaning that just about the woman committing adultery, it meant, Neither do I condemn thee WOMAN. [all women, for being women, contrary to the teachings of misogyny and the whole LIE that Eve justifies hate of all women].
The Bible is a SPIRITUAL book, not a Literal one---the problem is MEN have taken hold of scriptures for their OWN ADVANTAGE AND POWER and have misused and abused scriptures---to do as they please. Where the Bible is concerned--because the Entire Bible, rather than scriptures taken out of context, goes EXTREMELY contrary to misogyny and hate and violence. Though yes there Is violence in the Bible, Old Testament especially, it is not a handbook For violence, but an explanation of the evolution of sin and violence, a sort of spiritual dialectics, and how through generations sin compounds and like lies, one sin has to cover another sin to another and it results into another and another until you wind up with societies/peoples who are without love, mercy or compassion.
I am finding the Bible can be a dangerous book in the wrong hands, or better, wrong Hearts. Because it really is, the Heart, where the problems truly lie. Jesus said, out of our evil Hearts comes evil thoughts, murders, hate, adultery [treating women subhuman if you really want to get what adultery is, misogyny Would fall under that], violence, lies, etc.,
and RELIGION, is simply, just another means of masking what is IN our hearts and trying to Reform them, with Human effort...blind leading the blind-Jesus said, its like, the evil reforming evil, of each other OR of ourselves, it simply cannot be done--and That is why, Jesus said, you MUST be born again. Many term that as a one time 'just pray a prayer' and you're changed,
but its way more than that. It's a spiritual rebirth AND a heart one---create in me a Clean Heart O God and renew a Right Spirit within me, David said. [Psalms]
Without a willing to change Heart, how then can it understand God's Word? It can't, it will take the literal meanings, distort them even more so or pull what it can twist, and make a Religion out of it. And the thing is, its Very easy to do---one can be in the process of change and Still be deceived because I am finding, that change isn't an 'overnight' boom, you're some new person with no old habits, ways, sins, no, it isn't like that...
it's a process, and that old human nature, is so wanting to survive---in any way possible and while I don't understand just how it works, I know enough, that in that process, it becomes an inner war, on a Spiritual level. For the longest time I only saw this in the negative--this 'having to rid myself of the poison, but I am finding, that its not just negative, its Positive, because in the losing there is also the Restoring of the Soul that God had intended in me in the first place, what that means, He restoreth my soul....that soul that has been dented and destroyed and crushed by hatred [ours and others towards us] and abuse and sorrow and lies and bad belief systems, etc. And with each person, its different because we are INDIVIDUALS, the process is not the identical same, though there are similarities.
Anyway, so lately I've been questioning my faith, is it true faith in the personhood of Jesus or is it just
IDEALISM?
Religion is all about IDEALISM, and idealism that often borders on the Fanatical and Fanatical breeds hate--because fanatical breeds FEAR. IDEALISM needs DOGMA, to survive the challenges, the critics, etc. IDEALISM needs FORCE.
FAITH---DOES NOT.
FAITH, DOES NOT NEED FORCE, OR TERROR, OR TERRORISM, OR HATE,
it just Is, and it just Lives, what it Believes.
So, I am learning, on a deep level that there is way more to the Differences between RELIGION
and FAITH.
Religion Breeds Misogyny because Religion demands a SCAPEGOAT, and what better SCAPEGOAT than WOMEN.
RELIGION does not like it when we FACE OUR SELVES FOR WHAT WE TRULY ARE--REGARDLESS OF GENDER, RACE, AGE, INCOME, REGION...TRAITS, ETC.
FAITH -- IT IS NECESSARY, TO SEE THE SELF IN THE TRUE LIGHT, IN TRUTH, TO BE FAITH,
FAITH, WORKS BY LOVE.
NOT DOGMA, NOT DOCTRINE, BUT LOVE.
So, is RELIGION HARMFUL TO WOMEN?
YES.
Is FAITH HARMFUL TO WOMEN?
No, because FAITH does not NEED to control or abuse, FAITH is Assurance, without FEAR. Because FAITH,
knows
LOVE.
And if God, is Love, the Personhood of God, being Love,
then FAITH, IS KNOWING GOD.
RELIGION, IS KNOWING DOGMA, NOT GOD. WHAT IS THE REVERSE OF GOD? 'DOG'. DOG, FOR DOGMA,
the LIE Of all LIES. God is NOT about Dogma,
therefore, RELIGION, IS TRULY, NOT ABOUT GOD.
but FAITH is.
Those who Worship God must do so in Spirit and in Truth, by Faith, which works by Love, Faith without Works IS DEAD, true Love works comes Due to FAITH,
why religious works are dead...works. They have no Faith therefore they have no Life.
Faith requires Absolute truth---coming to the Light, exposing all within us, nooks and crannies and all, with no hiding,
and then, that admitting, God, I need You, to Save me, to Show me, to Help me, to know You, to know Love, to be Changed.
truly changed...from RELIGION---TO--FAITH.
many, have RELIGION,
but DO THEY HAVE FAITH?
Do I?
The facts that the atheists point too, are true, Religion, has been horrible to human rights, particularly that of women. It still is horrible---our natural 'inner law' that the Bible says God put in us, tells us, something is Wrong with discrimination and hate and violence, we sense it, unless our consciences have been seared. So, of course, unbelievers will SEE something really wrong with the false teachings and abuses of Religion,
sometimes they see it because we can, if we are not careful, in our desire to have strong faith, get caught up in Religion ourselves and then be easily deceived in believing the lies. Its a form of Self-Righteousness, apart from Faith. You see the Thing about Faith is that its in God's Holiness and God's Righteousness, NOT OURS, that saves us---why its called Grace, Mercy,
in our zest for wanting to please God we can fool ourselves and really, we are just trying to 'be god'. THAT IS THE BEGINNING OF RELIGION.
Religion is a trap--that we must pray to avoid---it is NOT sound doctrine that Paul referred too, sound doctrine was the Teachings of Jesus, not too and fro, not ever wind of doctrine and that is why we Have 100s of Religious denominations.
Sound doctrine is the truth of the Holy Spirit, NOT the 'opinions of Man'. Fallen man, or fallen woman.
It takes Prayer and Humility before God, to know sound doctrine And when one gets to that place, there is in no way, the desire to control, force, push, bully, terrorize, others because the process one learns Humility, brokenness, dependency on God's Grace---and Love.
That, THAT is faith, THAT is how FAITH works, and then, that Faith, becomes Light inside of us--and it don't take Dogma to show people the Light---they can see it, just by our kindness and works of love and compassion and sacrifice.
That kind of Faith and Light is about service...true service, the washing of the apostle's feet, Jesus did, Love one another, as I have loved you He said.
Its not about controlling and subjugating women-and wasn't Meant to be, or about controlling governments or tax dollars or people or feudal kingdoms....
that's RELIGION,
not Faith.
So, is Religion Harmful to Women? You betcha, its harmful to everyone...because Religion is a Lie.
Faith, however, is Truth....its a Relationship, of Trust, in the One Living and True God. And our lives, will show that Faith,
if, that Faith, is Real.
Faith, works by Love. and God is Love.
Faith, Love is not harmful....it gives, life, and more abundantly. to both men AND women.
Love, solidarity,
Jane
