I believe that men who are courageous need all our support and love,

tell your son, he's got mine, as you know you have my love and support too. :)

I've been getting some revelations about my early childhood--that are related to what you posted here--I don't have all the memories, a lot of fragments--but some dreams, that well,

tie things to an adult in my very early life. I just don't know all the details, or if I will, it might not be a good thing To know--

but God is healing...there is a lot of sorting,

so I am glad, you wrote. :)

Love,

JaneJaneDoeThreadshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04214008105767162997noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4633836557986489093.post-20010034339790319782010-03-23T20:37:24.274-07:002010-03-23T20:37:24.274-07:00A little off topic, Jane, but not too far off.
Som...A little off topic, Jane, but not too far off.
Somehow I had brought you up to my son in the past. I told him the name you used and why and he thought it was awesome.

Well, anyway, more recently, on the way home from church he said something unbelievable.
He said, "I think rape is worse than murder."
When I pressed him he said something along the lines that if two men get mad at each other and one kills the other, yes, it was bad. But not as bad as a man violating a woman, girl, or boy.

I told him I was proud of him for understanding the depth of the violation of rape, though I look at murder and rape the same. It is the violation of another human being causing either physical or soul death.

In the conversation I told him about your picture of the needle work, "Dead men don't rape."
I also told him that I was going to tell you about what he said and about how proud I am that he, as a young man, in a sexist/rape culture, he can still see through it to the utter horror that rape must be to the point of thinking it is worse than murder. He smiled like he liked the idea of you knowing.

Just can't believe some of the conversations I have with him. He's a very deep thinker and surprises me sometimes with what he comes up with.Mara Reidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16385458933795539928noreply@blogger.com
