ATHIESTS STOP USING THE 'ANTI PATRIARCHAL' CARD FOR YOUR ANTI-CHRISTIAN POLITICAL AGENDA

Am cross posting this...from the QF forum...because well, what the hell, needs to be said.

Well was reading through the comments on here, interesting...but I thought I'd add a few things, I don't believe were mentioned, NOT to persuade conversion here, people can believe what they want, I believe that should be a HUMAN RIGHT, I can't stand dogma or forced religion OR forced atheism either way, and will fight BOTH. To me both are extremely NARROW MINDED, that's my two cents.

But there were a few things, before I begin, that were I believe in strong error, one on Stalin and that Stalin's actions were not based on an atheist religion. BULL. To whomever believes that, very Ignorant of the Marxist foundations and beliefs, ignorant [or just blatantly Lying] of Stalin's beliefs, the materialist belief IS a religion. Man may be center, science may be center, but it IS a religion and it Demands compliance, very much if not worse, of it's followers, and purging of those who think critically of...etc., and I know, I was Die hard Marxist--Leninist, and so to read that Stalin's actions had nothing to do with an atheist type of religion, is quite Hilarious actually, in fact, Stalinism and "Patriarchal" Christianity have far more in common, in particularly, in HOW they both control Women AND her Sexuality. that is FACT.

The only difference really is God as center or Man as center, or Knowledge or Science, so really, we All have faith in something...faith is the substance of things HOPED for, so if you HOPE For a egalitarian [of course with big brother on top/cult of personality with a centralist VANGUARD on top] world where the STATE distributes, etc., and your entire thought processes are centered and life patterns/AND behaviors are centered around those THEORIES/IDEOLOGIES then you are placing you Faith and Vision in that--be it the Internationale or Nationalist Socialist [Stalin] or Trotskiesm, etc. IT is a Religion...and Yes they KILLED millions to Enforce that RELIGION.

Pacifism one mentioned here one can't kill for, Really, uh, what part of anarchism and nihilism does one not understand? No, you are right they may not Kill for pacifism, they just let OTHERS DO THE KILLING FOR THEM...yea, been there done that one too. OR, it's the killing by Refusing to act in the face of evil, the kumbayah belief, it goes like this,

a man down the block is violent and raping his three year old daughter, I Could intervene, I have a gun, lets say I saw it on his porch..there is no phone, no way of calling anyone, but I don't, because I am a pacifist. The man rapes and kills the girl.

Am I innocent then? NO, of course not, I assisted in the Killing by doing Nothing. When that little girl looks at me, she isn't thinking, oh what a Nice pacifist.....she's thinking, I'm just standing there watching while she's being raped and murdered. I'd be Just as guilty if NOT more so, remember, I had the gun that I picked up off his porch.

OK so now those two things I wanted to comment on...

bottom line, in Every institutional belief system Evil has been done, including for Democracy, so this whole let's outlaw religion or Christianity [not so easy to outlaw Islam, go ahead, like to see that one actually, lol, why so many Won't stand up to it] but the whole let's outlaw and demonize Christianity and the world will be all fine and anti-patriarchal

is complete bullshit. OK, it's complete bullshit, because there will Always be Patriarchy, in some form, the former Communists Proved that one. Unless one thinks forced sex/rape and forced abortions isn't patriarchal?????

Or forced sterilizations [of women of course, not the men, er, DUH, what part of Patriarchy can you not see there, duh duh duh, pass the kool aid please] or forced children/girls as sex slaves/combatants in war. More Patriarchy...under the religion of Social Engineering by the uh, 'gods', you know those things that men and a few women in Power lay claim too, sounds like a Religion to me--a Patriarchal one at that.

Bakunin called it Elitism, where ever you have Power, where ever you have Elites, you're going to have Patriarchy, Abuse of Power, and Forced compliance.

So it really boils down in what God or 'gods' one believes in...now sure, you can say, I believe in no 'gods' or Gods or goddesses BUT if you follow your own path/way of thinking, then you've made yourself a 'god' or God or goddess...and That is what you put your faith into. However, unless you live on an island...you're not totally free from other's gods and goddesses and God or what have you--

so then you got, ok, who's the Strongest God or gods or goddesses, who has the bigger gun in other words. So, really we can't get away from religion, because we are serving one type or another...so then, when it comes to Patriarchy, you're under and serving it, whether you are under Christian or Secular or Judaic or Islam patriarchy,

in economics, in health, in family structure, in reproductive rights, etc. IF you want to confront Patriarchy you will have to go far beyond just Christianity or Judaism or Islam. And that isn't so easy--

because then one sees just how deep patriarchy goes [Lerner, good book on this btw] so then, that leaves the question, really,

what came first? Religion [the main three] or Patriarchy?

I think what gets me the most irked is to see so many scream about Christian patriarchy [and granted, I totally concur with them] but on the Other hand, when it comes to porn, trafficking, abuse of women under Culture, they go all passive and well, they sell out...and I think,

WTF, really,

like, do I CARE if I'm gang banged by Christians or Muslims or Frog worshipers or Guerrilla Warfare in Columbia and do I CARE if I'm forced to have children for a cult or the state for the war machine? Does one make the abuse less because they are under a different belief? Hell no--so then Why is it, that Patriarchy is the 'token' card to go after Christianity,

then, in all others, it's hush hush leave alone--while MILLIONS, MILLIONS OF GIRLS AND WOMEN, ARE TREATED JUST AS HORRIBLY IF NOT WORSE, AND ARE KILLED, DAILY, under other forms of Patriarchy?

under other Religions, including yes, atheism. Why?

So, I would say, the real issue is NOT really patriarchy, if it were, there would be a Consciousness of women as an OPPRESSED GENDER CLASS across the board Globally and there would be Zero tolerance to Porn, to Rape, to Violence, to Force by religion or state, to Discrimination, to Economic stratifications under systems that create feminization of poverty, etc...no matter What god or goddesses or God or Ideology, etc.,

but the real issue here, is truly just a hate of the Christian belief or God....which, is one's right. But, why use the token [by atheists] of Patriarchy? Yet silence towards other patriarchal abuses elsewhere?

I guess, my thing is, if you're going to slam patriarchy, then by golly, do it Everywhere, and not just use it as a 'token' card to push this anti-Christian agenda. And that I think, IS what a lot of Christians do see,

be they patriarchal worshipers or not.

That will get me bad karma but go for it, because as a Feminist, this is one thing that just irks the crap out of me--to me it's selling women out,

and I hate it. I hate it as much as I hate the patriarchs in religions, Christianity included.

It's either you are FOR WOMEN, WOMEN'S RIGHTS, HUMAN RIGHTS IN EVERY SYSTEM AND BELIEF

OR YOU ARE NOT.

You're either anti Patriarchal in Every system/belief and ideology or you are not. It really just blows my mind how many will take the token card of Patriarchy and slam Christianity...
yet,

So to me, the problem isn't just Christianity or Islam or Wicca, the problem is, Women, need to arrive at a consciousness to where they Stop believing

men by nature are superior, that men have by natural right the right and entitlement to rape, to celebrate rape for entertainment, that men have by natural right to lord it over, to make and call all the shots, to demonize women and to terrorize women and to control women through media, through commerce, through 'forcing constructs be it for the pure mother or the woman who believes it's some kind of empowerment to be screwed by all men...whichever, same garbage as far as I'm concerned, that her worth is her sexuality or her bearing children or her ability to serve/be killed for men [suicide bombers, etc], that she always is at the bottom of the totem pole and that Any kindness by benevolent 'brother masta' should be taken gratefully and no matter what she's just damned lucky to be able to live, somewhat...when Women get to the consciousness of NO MORE...then, THEN, we can fight for True Equality...for ALL WOMEN, not just the few select. Because then men won't be on top of the hierarchy, with women on their backs, under them...

be it under God, god or themselves as gods...

So to me, the issue isn't just Christianity, or Islam or Buddhism or other Ideologies,

the issue to me is, that Women, yes, we Women, have still, in 2012, PATRIARCHY, and we are passing it to our daughters, because we are still under the thinking that men by nature, are superior...

that they are

gods.

And until we Decolonize our Mind from that...we can rid the world of Christianity, we'll just be on our backs for another 'male institution' with a few token women at top...

the hierarchy will still remain...

and women

will

continue to be raped, tortured, controlled, brutalized, and killed.
