I am, borrowing this post, from Submission Tyranny, to keep, for myself and for you to read here--and I am going to put it also to the Side Bar under Healing--because I so needed to Read this post this morning. I hope Waneta doesn't mind...
while this writing of hers was directed at the comp teachings and the abuses in them, for me, being a survivor but horribly wounded [and struggling] with my Perception of God, from child abuse/ritual abuse, this essay ripped so many of the horrible perceptions I struggle with, the horrible condemnations, FEARS, and evil thoughts I get, when praying, reading the Bible especially...when I fall into that spiral, that is reliving the words, abuses of the past [and some present] that I internalized--believing the LIES. And it's not that easy to just brush the LIES away when they go so deep--from having heard them from a Parent, from Spouses, from Peers that reinforce all the words of death planted in you from abuse.
But let's not stop there--because often times we tend to stop there but it's not enough to just look at the words of death planted in Us by Others--we MUST also look at our OWN source of death, Sin, and evil, if not--we simply become [and are] Extensions of Iniquity. It's NOT that we are 'good' and that other's make us 'bad', oh no,
it's the Bad brings out the bad in us, a lot sooner--because we All have that Nature, from that tree of knowledge of good and evil, that thing called SIN. And that SIN warps our views, lens, feelings, desires, and our view of God. Of Good. Oh, sure we can Know what good is, especially that thing called PLEASURE, we KNOW what that is, we KNOW what evil is, that thing called PAIN. We'll do all we can to Avoid the Pain and Seek the Pleasure, at all costs, good and evil,
but God requires more than simply seeking PLEASURE and avoiding PAIN including what we dote out to others--like those we LOVE.
And really That is the Whole Core of who Jesus Christ is, the Word made FLESH, the WORD OF GOD, WHO GOD IS, and the Bible says, in Matthew, that GOD SENDS RAIN TO BOTH THE GOOD AND THE WICKED [wicked I believe is not people who sin because we all sin but those who Refuse God's righteousness and refuse repentance], and that we are to be Like our Heavenly Father, that is what Jesus said, to Love our Enemies...
43Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:43-48 KJV
Our perception of God then, is not only tainted by what other's have Done to us, but by our own Hearts, Jesus also said:
25Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
26Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
27Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
28Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
29Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
30And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
31Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
32Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
33Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? Matthew 23:24-33
This is WHAT we are--until we See and Ask God through Jesus to CLEAN THE INSIDE OF US...because it's OUT of an EVIL heart that we have EVIL thoughts, including about Who God is.
11Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. Matthew 15:11
18But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
19For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
20These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.Matthew 15:17-20
For those of us who have been abused, this is a TRUTH that is hard to swallow because you see the thing about abuse, why Satan uses it [I think, not a thus saith the Lord here] is that it Poisons us, our humanity--but it Also HIDES too because then we See only through eyes of 'what That person/s did to ME' and therefore we Rationalize and JUSTIFY our bad/evil inside. Oh YES, we do--then we Transfer that over to God is BAD...it's a really clever thing that evil does because we can go through entire lifetime Thinking that WE aren't that bad, that it's Only what has been DONE TO US, that we REACT to,
and Yes, THAT IS TRUE---but when coming to the CROSS of CHRIST we see, if we come to the light, that WE are JUST as deplorable, rotten, debase and profane as our ABUSERS. And THAT is the ugly truth that we like to HIDE from. WHY? Because Religion tells us that we ARE rotten and that we are just to forgive and do right and we'll be forgiven,
and THAT IS THE LIE. Because it's NOT until we come to God, rotten cup and all, and let GOD remove the gunk and lies and rot out of out of us, that we even Begin to see, with just a bit of clarity, of WHO GOD is. And that too is where the WARFARE is at because the Enemy [Satan] comes Immediately, to STEAL THE WORD, from our hearts of clay and rock. And it IS a struggle, it IS not easy BECAUSE the Pain from ABUSE is REAL, it can't just be dismissed away, swept under the rug because it Does do damage, it Germinates, they are Seeds of Death. Iniquity,
so HOW to be Cleansed and Rid of Iniquity? I am finding it's not an overnight thing nor is it a quick confessional prayer--it is a really ugly, nasty, very painful, sometimes comforting, Dissecting, that is what it feels like, it leaves a HOLE inside--and IF that HOLE is not filled with God, with the Holy Spirit, that house decorated [religion] then evil spirits can come in, take up residence, and they are worse than the ones prior. THIS is what happened to me, I think...I did the confession, the sinner's prayer, in my early twenties, but I didn't go far enough--though I read the Bible, I prayed, I cleaned up my life [flesh reform] but Deep inside me I was rotten to the core--and the ABUSE was a Barrier, to my getting cleansed, I was defiled....
but, then I ask God, was I even PURE to begin with?
NO. Couldn't have been, no way, not with all that EVIL lens and ways of seeing things including about myself within myself, and being that, HOW in the world, could I bear fruit? How in the world could I love? Be a Christian?
I couldn't, and therefore I was a Hypocrite then a backslider then a horrible evil person [iniquity full] myself, it is ONLY by the Grace of God I was brought back to Him, and NOW I am being CLEANED UP. IF you've read my blog this has NOT been overnight--the More I read His Word the more I see just how awful I am--
the things I saw/believed about God were LIES. It don't matter if the world does evil or if those who profess Christ do evil...GOD IS NOT EVIL. BUT to see that--is NOT that the world changes, is that
WE CHANGE. OUR HEARTS CHANGE, AND THAT, THAT IS WHAT I AM LEARNING...
it's NOT that the marriages need to change or that men need to stop abusing wives ONLY, they do, ok, but that, the ROOT is, not the abuse, the ROOT is the EVIL that has NOT been brought to God and CLEANSED--and CHANGED, ye MUST be BORN AGAIN, not ADULT AGAIN, but BORN AGAIN...that means,
a whole RE-BIRTH, and then the spiritual transformation begins, IF we allow it. GOD is gracious, merciful and kind, AND sees all things, and is PATIENT,
but lest we TRY HIS PATIENCE, which is very DANGEROUS, I will say, to other's who have been horribly abused, who are full of rage, anger, bitterness, hurt, just like I was and still am in areas, we Must REPENT, turn to God, and Ask God to remove the EVIL LENS we have of HIM, because it IS EVIL,
if we do not, we are prey Right into the enemies hands, Satan, that is Exactly what he wants, to Devour us. To devour our souls,
and many fall away. That is the tactics of the enemy, I am seeing it because God is showing it to me--but He is showing me, about the Evil about MYSELF,
we can't just Blame the Devil, that can be a Cop Out, from dealing with the rot that is within. Healing from abuse is two-fold,
God heals us of the abuse but also cleans us up, and changes OUR hearts, from within. Lately I've also been seeing [meaning He is showing me] that one of the barriers to this is seeing [always looking] at the EVIL in the world, that good and evil, because we are to LOOK UP, AT GOD, we Won't see God in just the good, and the Good can sometimes be a Deceptive MASK covering evil--INCLUDING OUR OWN EFFORTS TO BE 'GOOD', they can really be, simply a 'garment of LIE' that is not really Dealing with the Evil from deep within, because to Do that, really does mean, DEATH, DEATH TO SELF--the FLESH, take up your cross, deny yourself, and Follow me Jesus said,
that is the difference I am finding between trying to be 'good' and going to the CROSS, OF JESUS CHRIST, JESUS CHRIST CRUCIFIED, that is the GOSPEL OF EASTER. It's NOT about reform, it's NOT about Recovery, it's NOT about Psychology, it is NOT about changing the World and ridding it of evil, it is about
coming to God, to Jesus, and Admitting, I am Evil, I am Rotted inside, I have this Death in me, Please Jesus I am sick, Save Me.
And He is Faithful, for Whosoever shall Call upon the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ shall Not perish, but have Everlasting Life.
8But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
16But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.Romans 10:8-17

4How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
And HOW shall they Believe if those preachers or those who profess Christ have ABUSED THEM? HOW? HOW can they Believe by Faith [which works by LOVE] if all they have seen is Abuse?
There is a two fold thing going on here...so, FAITH, COMES FROM HEARING, AND HEARING, BY THE WORD OF GOD,
if the Word of God is being abused, to Abuse, then that Image one has of God will be TAINTED, they will Blaspheme God...this is how Satan works, he uses God's Word. remember the Garden of Eden, the serpent told Eve, God this, God that, God does NOT want you to have wisdom because you'll be like the 'gods',
What if, What if, Eve, had of rather than eat the fruit [and Adam] would have gone to God and asked, IS this True?
May we Come to Christ Jesus, and Ask, Seek, Knock, HE is Faithful, He is Faithful, He is Good, and Yes, He does Love His Female Creation, made in HIS image.
From Submission Tyranny, IF JESUS WAS A COMPLIMENTARIAN
If Jesus was a Complementarian, He would have gone to the temple when He was 12 and wouldn’t have asked the priests anything. Instead, He would have told them He was God, their authority, and that they better do what He says and serve Him. When His parents reprimanded Him, He would have told them to buzz off, that He was their authority and they were to surrender themselves to Him, get a horse for Him to ride home, and that the home they were providing for Him was not good enough. He is God, after all and even a palace leaves much to be desired.
If Jesus was a Complementarian, He would have either refused to turn the water into wine, or He would have bragged about His miracle and used the event to announce that He is God, the Everlasting Authority, and that everyone there was His bride and required by God to subject themselves to him or suffer the consequences.
If Jesus was a Complementarian, He would have scoffed at John the Baptist’s baptism, took over the preaching for the day and demanded that all the hearers bowed before Him because He is the Authority, and God gave Him the role of directing their lives.
If Jesus was a Complementarian, He would have ordered the disciples to follow Him, instead of inviting them. Claiming that any type of service was beneath His dignity, He would have refused to heal the sick, lame, and blind. Instead, He would have ordered the disciples to heal the people and scolded His disciples when they could not, and ranted and raved about what idiots they were.
If Jesus was a Complementarian, instead of inviting people to come to Him for rest, He would have ordered them to come and give Him their hard manual labor. Instead of saying “Ask and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you,” He would have said, “Ask and I’ll yell at you, seek and I’ll spit in your face, knock and I’ll beat you up, for everyone that asks makes Me mad, he that seeks disgusts Me, and he that knocks sends me into an uncontrollable rage because he is trying to usurp My authority. He would have declared that His rage, yelling, spitting,and beating was not sin, that the seeker had brought it on himself.
If Jesus was a Complementarian, He would have refused to lay down His life for us. Instead, He would have demanded the death of every last one of us, insisting that since we are rebellious and unable to serve Him perfectly, we must die for Him.
If Jesus was a Complementarian, He would have neglected to love us and treat us with kindness and mercy. Instead, He would have focused on His authority. There would be no Christmas, no Good Friday, no Easter, no Ascension Day.
