my comment too, what concerns me, though I SUPPORT THIS MOVIE 100%, BECAUSE I HAVE LIVED IT--AND I AM THRILLED THAT THEY ARE SHOWING THE 'CRUELTY' OF CHRISTIAN AND JUDAIC [AND ISLAMIC] SANCTIONED 'RAPE IN MARRIAGE'.

While I think this movie is awesome...I as a feminist have one huge concern, you see I work advocating against the horrors of abuses to women IN religion [as well as against porn culture, RAPE culture, misogyny]

and the one concern I have is how the adultery scene [though obvious she is driven to it via husband's abuse] will be instead used as AMMO by already horrible BDSM Christian pulpit pimps such as Marc Driscoll, Piper and many others, as means to FURTHER

CLAMP DOWN ON WOMEN,

many of whom are under the ground so to speak being ministered to by LIBERAL Christian women [many of whom still believe but do not go to any church] and those who have left the faith altogether, in empowerment so they CAN ESCAPE the clutches of horrid abuse.

This film can backfire and cause many MORE WOMEN TO DIE, sad to say, and the LEGAL SYSTEM will not help these women because patriarchy is not JUST IN RELIGION, IT'S IN OUR SYSTEM, ALL AROUND,
