The Whore's Rage [what the church and society does not want to hear...] and it' s not just the rage of 'the whore' but rage, of so many, Women. The Poor, the Disenfranchised, the Invisible...the Abused, the Lepers of our World, the Untouchables [except to be exploited of course], I read this yesterday, and had to post it here,

I think women, who are not whores, are the first to hear their rage. Because any woman can be stolen and turned into a whore, if not for the protection of certain men.
And because a woman, even a privileged woman, can know what it is to not be heard. To have her anger ignored or minimized or to be shamed for believing she has the right to anger.
But then women who hear the rage of the whore look around and try to figure out how to get the men to hear and are at a loss.
If these men don't hear the anger of their wives and daughters... How can they ever hear the rage of the whore?
I hear.
Dear God...
How do I respond?
Prayer to start, but that's not all. Only to start. Then look for other ears who will hear.
And to figure out how to rescue.
God how do we rescue?
How do we change our world?
What can be done?
Here and now?

Mara, a lot of women don't hear either...there is this distinction between women and whores, though all women are called whores by men. What kept triggering me, the entire time I read this essay, was the word Whore in the Bible and how many times Whore is used, and even Rahab, it wasn't Rahab, the woman, or human, but Rahab the Whore. [harlot, same thing]
or maybe whore in Bible means slut and harlot means prostitute??? But it's one of the Biggies, that is always a trigger to me, that divides/separates me a lot from God [trusting Him or even wanting anything to do with Him], more than all the submission scriptures put together.
But no, Mara, the majority of women don't hear...the Whore is The one that women, will refer to, as the 'we'll I'm not like HER',
though, ironically, she is, in more ways than she may realize or is conscious of, and it is, just that, men don't hear wives or daughter's either, they are just 'whores' to them, that also cook and clean. They are a tiny 'step' above, the private whore,
but still a whore. There is a badge on Ex-Quiverfulls that I think, nails it, Prairie Muffins and Pole Dancer's Sisters in the End. But that could be taken a bit further than that, and that's another thing, men don't 'protect' women from being whores, they OWN women, and they take exclusive ownership but as soon as he wants to rid of her he lets the world know, that she, like Lot's daughter's, can be done with as they see fit.
The thing is we're all whores Mara, just like we are all concubines with no name, and until Women really see that,
they won't, reach out and do anything, much, to rescue the woman who is Whore to many men. And if there was any commonality, any common blood thread in women,
it's her being part of the class of whore, that gender...and even, the Bible, refers to her, as such.
Wife, or Whore,
but always, owned by men, they can do with her as they please....

I learned at the age of six, seven, maybe prior to that, that I was a Whore Mara, it would be the label drilled into my head and I still hear it, daily, at least, once. And running away from home, 16, I identify with this essay in ways that maybe not in the way a woman who works under a pimp and serves numerous men, but in similar ways, that I won't go into here, I know how that world works to entrap women [run a ways, homeless women, drugs, esp drugs and that I don't believe is focused on a lot but there is usually, a history of sexual abuse [rape by relative, father, adults] when the woman was a child, about 80% I believe] and that doesn't Even include trafficking [forced sex slavery]. Also, I was going to write on this once, I need too, one area where the Rad Fems wouldn't address much, maybe they are not aware or there isn't enough focus but there are male whores too--not Gigolos like the Hollywood attempt to glamorize but boys, who are pimped out, in Afghanistan there are boys taken, and they are serviced even into adulthood [no escape] by men, forced to wear women's clothes and to work just like women...there is a essay about this on the RAWA site,
no one hears Whores but worse, no one hears those Male Whores either--not even the feminists. Many of them commit suicide.
Anyway, this is a painful area for me...because WHORE was tied so intimately with the abuse [child to teen to adult] and I had a running joke, to try to take the term back--I got whore stamped in my forehead,
it didn't work though. Once you've been branded you're branded, that's another dynamic that I don't have the words to even start there--
last night after reading, the essay/posting this, all I could think was in Hebrews, no, no, where Jesus told the Pharisees, that harlots and sinners would get into Heaven before them or rather than them
so I think God does hear and that if there was or is Anything, that really exposes the beast of sin in humanity, that demon, it is, how we, the world, humanity, use in the most intimate of ways in the most violent and killing means, how the world ignores their cries, how even the whole hierarchy, is set up, on the core of that. Not from the top to down, but the rapist and whore, the owner and whore, the adult and whore...the power over the weak...if there is Anything, that exposes the Vampire/Flesh eating Zombie, that eats and devours soul and spirit, assassins, tortures slowly,
that is it. The creation of the Whore. And it began, from the very beginning...I think, my husband always says, evil comes from Eve, he thinks that is so hilarious,
evil from Eve.
Wow, I mean, you could justify anything with that....and I think, a lot of men, believe that garbage.
