Well, that’s just it isn’t it? No woman Wrote any part of the Bible,

which, dumping the Meth like poison of Religion and using common sense, we See that there is some deeply embedded Misogyny in Religions. I hesitated whether I should leave the first post on here or not, I felt a bit regretful for having posted it, as I did on a day I was struggling with my faith---

but I decided to leave it up, for a couple of reasons. One, it is true, in all 'religions' women have been demonized. FACT. We can't deny this fact just because it challenges our Faith, nor Should we. Actually, IF we deny this FACT, then we are actually polluting the Christian faith, because misogyny flies in the face of Jesus and Grace, misogyny is centered on HATE, it clearly says in John, if you hate your brother [brother in that language of that time means like comrade, brethren, both male And female], one does not know the Truth nor God because GOD IS LOVE. Not only that, Jesus gave us way too many examples of how He treated women--neither do I condemn ye He said...that had more meaning that just about the woman committing adultery, it meant, Neither do I condemn thee WOMAN. [all women, for being women, contrary to the teachings of misogyny and the whole LIE that Eve justifies hate of all women].

The Bible is a SPIRITUAL book, not a Literal one---the problem is MEN have taken hold of scriptures for their OWN ADVANTAGE AND POWER and have misused and abused scriptures---to do as they please. Where the Bible is concerned--because the Entire Bible, rather than scriptures taken out of context, goes EXTREMELY contrary to misogyny and hate and violence. Though yes there Is violence in the Bible, Old Testament especially, it is not a handbook For violence, but an explanation of the evolution of sin and violence, a sort of spiritual dialectics, and how through generations sin compounds and like lies, one sin has to cover another sin to another and it results into another and another until you wind up with societies/peoples who are without love, mercy or compassion.

I am finding the Bible can be a dangerous book in the wrong hands, or better, wrong Hearts. Because it really is, the Heart, where the problems truly lie. Jesus said, out of our evil Hearts comes evil thoughts, murders, hate, adultery [treating women subhuman if you really want to get what adultery is, misogyny Would fall under that], violence, lies, etc.,

and RELIGION, is simply, just another means of masking what is IN our hearts and trying to Reform them, with Human effort...blind leading the blind-Jesus said, its like, the evil reforming evil, of each other OR of ourselves, it simply cannot be done--and That is why, Jesus said, you MUST be born again. Many term that as a one time 'just pray a prayer' and you're changed,

but its way more than that. It's a spiritual rebirth AND a heart one---create in me a Clean Heart O God and renew a Right Spirit within me, David said. [Psalms]

Without a willing to change Heart, how then can it understand God's Word? It can't, it will take the literal meanings, distort them even more so or pull what it can twist, and make a Religion out of it. And the thing is, its Very easy to do---one can be in the process of change and Still be deceived because I am finding, that change isn't an 'overnight' boom, you're some new person with no old habits, ways, sins, no, it isn't like that...

it's a process, and that old human nature, is so wanting to survive---in any way possible and while I don't understand just how it works, I know enough, that in that process, it becomes an inner war, on a Spiritual level. For the longest time I only saw this in the negative--this 'having to rid myself of the poison, but I am finding, that its not just negative, its Positive, because in the losing there is also the Restoring of the Soul that God had intended in me in the first place, what that means, He restoreth my soul....that soul that has been dented and destroyed and crushed by hatred [ours and others towards us] and abuse and sorrow and lies and bad belief systems, etc. And with each person, its different because we are INDIVIDUALS, the process is not the identical same, though there are similarities.

Anyway, so lately I've been questioning my faith, is it true faith in the personhood of Jesus or is it just

IDEALISM?

Religion is all about IDEALISM, and idealism that often borders on the Fanatical and Fanatical breeds hate--because fanatical breeds FEAR. IDEALISM needs DOGMA, to survive the challenges, the critics, etc. IDEALISM needs FORCE.

FAITH---DOES NOT.

FAITH, DOES NOT NEED FORCE, OR TERROR, OR TERRORISM, OR HATE,

it just Is, and it just Lives, what it Believes.

So, I am learning, on a deep level that there is way more to the Differences between RELIGION
and FAITH.

Religion Breeds Misogyny because Religion demands a SCAPEGOAT, and what better SCAPEGOAT than WOMEN.

RELIGION does not like it when we FACE OUR SELVES FOR WHAT WE TRULY ARE--REGARDLESS OF GENDER, RACE, AGE, INCOME, REGION...TRAITS, ETC.

FAITH -- IT IS NECESSARY, TO SEE THE SELF IN THE TRUE LIGHT, IN TRUTH, TO BE FAITH,

FAITH, WORKS BY LOVE.

NOT DOGMA, NOT DOCTRINE, BUT LOVE.

So, is RELIGION HARMFUL TO WOMEN?

YES.

Is FAITH HARMFUL TO WOMEN?

No, because FAITH does not NEED to control or abuse, FAITH is Assurance, without FEAR. Because FAITH,

knows

LOVE.

And if God, is Love, the Personhood of God, being Love,

then FAITH, IS KNOWING GOD.

RELIGION, IS KNOWING DOGMA, NOT GOD. WHAT IS THE REVERSE OF GOD? 'DOG'. DOG, FOR DOGMA,

the LIE Of all LIES. God is NOT about Dogma,

therefore, RELIGION, IS TRULY, NOT ABOUT GOD.

but FAITH is.

Those who Worship God must do so in Spirit and in Truth, by Faith, which works by Love, Faith without Works IS DEAD, true Love works comes Due to FAITH,

why religious works are dead...works. They have no Faith therefore they have no Life.

Faith requires Absolute truth---coming to the Light, exposing all within us, nooks and crannies and all, with no hiding,

and then, that admitting, God, I need You, to Save me, to Show me, to Help me, to know You, to know Love, to be Changed.

The facts that the atheists point too, are true, Religion, has been horrible to human rights, particularly that of women. So, of course, unbelievers will SEE something really wrong with the false teachings and abuses of Religion,

sometimes they see it because we can, if we are not careful, in our desire to have strong faith, get caught up in Religion ourselves and then be easily deceived in believing the lies. Its a form of Self-Righteousness, apart from Faith. You see the Thing about Faith is that its in God's Holiness and God's Righteousness, NOT OURS, that saves us---why its called Grace, Mercy,

in our zest for wanting to please God we can fool ourselves and really, we are just trying to 'be god'. THAT IS THE BEGINNING OF RELIGION.

Religion is a trap--that we must pray to avoid---it is NOT sound doctrine that Paul referred too, sound doctrine was the Teachings of Jesus, not too and fro, not ever wind of doctrine and that is why we Have 100s of Religious denominations.

Sound doctrine is the truth of the Holy Spirit, NOT the 'opinions of Man'. Fallen man, or fallen woman.

It takes Prayer and Humility before God, to know sound doctrine And when one gets to that place, there is in no way, the desire to control, force, push, bully, terrorize, others because the process one learns Humility, brokenness, dependency on God's Grace---and Love.

That, THAT is faith, THAT is how FAITH works, and then, that Faith, becomes Light inside of us--and it don't take Dogma to show people the Light---they can see it, just by our kindness and works of love and compassion and sacrifice.

That kind of Faith and Light is about service...true service, the washing of the apostle's feet, Jesus did, Love one another, as I have loved you He said.

Its not about controlling and subjugating women-and wasn't Meant to be, or about controlling governments or tax dollars or people or feudal kingdoms....

that's RELIGION,

not Faith.

So, is Religion Harmful to Women? You betcha, its harmful to everyone...because Religion is a Lie.

Faith, however, is Truth....its a Relationship, of Trust, in the One Living and True God. And our lives, will show that Faith,

BTW, when Jesus mentioned the Those who Worship God must do so in Spirit and in Truth, He said that, to a Woman, married nine times, after He also told her, He gave Living Water, not the lies and promises and abuse that MEN give. The apostles were 'shocked' that God in the Flesh, was doing the forbidden, talking to a subhuman Woman! But God not only Talked to Her, HE used women in His ministry, yes, Jesus did,

Even when it comes to the murderous fanatics who kill in the name of Islam, politicians and other public figures who criticize them often take pains to label their actions as arising from a twisted or self-serving interpretation, as though it would be impossible for a legitimate and sincere interpretation of any religion to inspire believers to commit evil acts.

However, the reality is that sincere religious beliefs and legitimate interpretations of scripture can, and very often do, cause immense evil and harm. And when a more enlightened future age arrives to tote up the harms done by religion, I am certain that the systematic oppression and denial of basic rights to one-half of the human race will rank near the top. Back in March, I wrote "That Monstrous Regiment" about the extreme denigration of women in the Christian tradition, but there is more to be said. This net can be cast wider, and it is time to do so.

Every major world religion - without exception - is intensely patriarchal. Every one of them engages in the systematic devaluation of women, in the systematic exclusion of women from positions of authority, and in the systematic oppression and even enslavement of women. I have yet to find a single major religion that bucks this trend. Considering how little many of these religions have in common otherwise, this is a truly remarkable pattern. A few denominations, influenced by the feminist movement and other moral advances, are only now beginning to redress this glaring inequity, but for the most part progress has been extremely slow and the vast majority of religions still treat women as less than human.

Despite its having been housebroken by the Enlightenment, Christianity is one of the worst offenders. Although some Christian denominations have taken faltering steps towards women's equality, all those denominations still believe in and endorse the Bible, which is without a doubt one of the most misogynistic books in existence.

In the book of Genesis, for example, the very existence of women is depicted as a divine afterthought, and the fall of the human race out of original Paradise into a world of toil and death is unambiguously depicted as a woman's fault. The text makes it clear from the very first that women are expected to be obedient and submissive to men:

Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

—Genesis 3:16

The Ten Commandments proclaim wives to be their husband's property, listing them together with livestock and servants as "thing[s] that [are] thy neighbor's" (Exodus 20:17). The Torah states that women who give birth to daughters are "unclean" for twice as long as women who give birth to sons (Leviticus 12) and values women's lives at half the value of men's lives (Leviticus 27:3-7). It rules that women who are raped in cities and do not cry out are to be stoned to death (Deuteronomy 22:22-24), while those are raped in the countryside are merely required to marry their rapists (Deuteronomy 22:28-29).

The New Testament joins in the denigration of women as well. It endorses the Old Testament's subjugation of them to men, saying that "the head of the woman is the man" (1 Corinthians 11:3). It also commands women to remain silent in church, saying that it is "a shame" for women to speak in church (1 Corinthians 14:34-35), and adds that women must "learn in silence with all subjection" and must never be allowed to teach or hold authority over men (1 Timothy 2:11-15).

And then there is one of the most subtly and pervasively sexist ideas in Christian thinking: the Trinity. The early Christians had three gods to choose from and made every one of them male. I often wondered, when I was a child, why the set of three contained Father, Son and Holy Ghost and not Father, Son and Mother. That seemed like the logical arrangement to me, but I did not grasp then, as I do now, that this doctrine was invented by an exclusively male and misogynist church hierarchy that sought to deny the female gender any role in creation or in the divine. (Indeed, a recent Harris poll found that over one-third of Jews and Christians believe God is male, while only 1% believe God is female. What would it even mean for God to have a gender?)

Many modern denominations have followed these anti-woman verses to the letter. The Catholic church, one of the worst offenders in this regard, still denies women the ability to join the priesthood, even despite a crippling lack of trained clergy to fill many available posts. The Southern Baptists have likewise declared that women should be submissive and obedient to their husbands, as though it was exclusively the man's job to command and a woman's job to follow. The Russian Orthodox church has stepped into the act as well, with a prominent bishop's recent claim that the idea of equality between the sexes is "destructive" to families (source). It is astonishing to me that Christians who claim to be "pro-family" go out of their way to disparage the gender that makes the existence of families possible.

The offshoots of Christianity have followed a similar path. Most notable is the Mormon church, which from its beginning endorsed polygamous marriage - for men only, of course; it was considered an unspeakable sin for a woman to attempt to take multiple husbands. The institution of polygamy in Mormonism reduced women to little more than property, intimidating them into being obedient and submissive lest their husband decide to take additional wives as punishment, or worse, lest they be damned, for Mormon doctrine originally held that women who opposed the doctrine of polygamy would be condemned to Hell. Mormon belief also holds that a woman cannot access Heaven alone, and that only through marriage can a woman be saved - by her husband, who will "pull her through" to the other side upon her death (source). (One wonders what happens to women who die before their husbands.) Though the Mormons were forced by external pressure to disavow polygamy, many of their other sexist beliefs and practices remain in effect.

These abstract beliefs have had a concrete and devastating effect on women's rights in the real world. As Jon Krakauer writes in Under the Banner of Heaven:

...perhaps the greatest rift between Mormon general authorities and advocates for women's rights occurred when the LDS Church actively and very effectively mobilized Mormons to vote as a bloc against ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment (despite a fact that a poll published in the church-owned Deseret News in 1974 showed that 63 percent of Utahans approved of the ERA). Most political analysts believe that had the LDS Church not taken such an aggressive position against the ERA, it would easily have been ratified by the required thirty-eight states, and would now be part of the U.S. Constitution.

Religious sexism occurs in Judaism as well, especially the conservative sects. Orthodox (male) Jews are taught to pray to God in thankfulness every day that they were not born as women, and some ultra-Orthodox sects refuse to send their children to school when the school buses are driven by women. In accordance with Biblical law, Orthodox women having their menstrual periods or who have recently given birth are considered unclean and forbidden to have any physical contact with a man. Orthodox women are often strongly discouraged from taking any public role in a position of leadership, or from acquiring an education beyond the most basic aspects of religious observance and homemaking.

Islam, too, is one of the worst offenders when it comes to women's rights. Consider the following verses from the Qur'an, which, like the Bible, considers women as less valuable than and inferior to men. It states that men are to control women, while good women are obedient to men, and it explicitly gives men permission to beat disobedient women:

"Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other... So good women are the obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah hath guarded. As for those from whom ye fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them."

—4:34

The Qur'an also states that a woman's testimony is worth only half as much as a man's, and her inheritance likewise is only half that of a man:

"And call two witness from among your men, two witnesses. And if two men be not at hand, then a man and two women..."

—2:282

"Allah chargeth you concerning (the provision for) your children: to the male the equivalent of the portion of two females..."

—4:11

And when fundamentalist Muslims gain political power, the repercussions are far too obvious. Despite the overthrow of the Taliban, there are still many Islamic countries that implement the evil and barbaric law code known as sharia, which has many cruel effects on men as well but degrades women by far the most, reducing them to slaves and nonpersons. The sharia code denies women their right to an education, to medical care, or to go out in public unaccompanied by a male relative, in addition to many other inhumanities, and punishes transgressions with barbaric acts such as flogging and stoning. In many Muslim countries, the practice of "honor killing" - murdering female relatives who have been raped, as a way to cleanse the shame they have brought on their family by being the victim of such a crime - still occurs. And then there is the best-known manifestation of Islam's inhumanity to women: the suffocating shrouds of black cloth designed to strip them of their individuality and to make them faceless, invisible and less than human.

Even the supposedly more enlightened Eastern religions are not much better when it comes to treating women as equals and as human beings. In Hinduism, the most infamous example is probably the practice of sati, in which widowed women were expected to burn themselves to death on their husband's funeral pyre. Although this was allegedly a voluntary act, in practice it was often involuntary, with women drugged, bound or otherwise restrained before being committed alive to the flames. As recently as 2002, incidents of this nature have been reported in India (source). Other Hindu traditions, less violent but still terrible, enforce seclusion and isolation on widows in the belief that some sin of the woman caused her husband's death, and expect her to atone by spending the rest of her life in silence and destitution. This rule, which I mentioned in a post from June titled "Why Do We Care?" and dramatized by the filmmaker Deepa Mehta in her 2005 film Water, was applied even if the widow was a young child in an arranged marriage who had not even met her husband prior to his death.

Buddhism, as well, despite its reputation as a socially progressive faith, has its share of discriminatory teachings about the role of women. In one passage from the Theravada Buddhist tradition, the Buddha's own aunt, Prajapati, shaves her hair and walks barefoot for many miles to meet with the Buddha and entreat him to permit women to join the sangha, the Buddhist monastic community. The Buddha at first refuses her plea outright, and only relents when his disciple Ananda persuades him to change his mind; however, he imposes a set of eight rules upon nuns that are stricter than those demanded of monks, and in some variants, warns that the sangha will only last for five hundred years due to the presence of women, when it would otherwise have lasted for a thousand. (See here, here and here for some retellings of this story.) In modern Buddhism, Thailand in particular has shown strong patriarchal tendencies, refusing to allow women to be ordained.

It is tragic, but understandable, why so many men throughout history have supported these sexist and patriarchal belief systems. More incredible is how many women have willingly taken part in their own subjugation by joining and participating in religions that have done their utmost to deny them the full equality and equal rights which they deserve. Many, perhaps, have fallen prey to the ancient and transparently obvious deceit that by doing so, they will gain access to an eternity in Heaven. (Although, given that most religions straightforwardly extend their earthly conceptions of hierarchy to the afterlife and picture Heaven as an eternity of male dominance and female submission, one wonders just how appealing that promise could be.)

Not all women have been taken in by this con, however, and there have been and are many women who work for reform and equality within their own religious tradition while continuing to believe in it. This is a noble effort, but I believe it is ultimately misguided. Religion in general, especially the large, institutional, male-run churches like Catholicism, is too dogmatic and too oligarchical for any progress to be made soon enough to help the millions of women who are still suffering under sexist yokes. And as long as people continue to believe in books and traditions that contain these sexist injunctions, the seed of bigotry will always lie dormant, waiting to be rediscovered and reborn. END NOTE: One thing, that is NOT included, in Genesis, when taking out scriptures out of context [and the misogynists of Religion are notorious for this] is the missing of something that balances---where God told the Serpent, HE would put Hatred between him and the woman, and her seed and his seed, etc.,

Satan, HATES women. The 'churches' and 'those who profess Christ' who oppress, abuse, slander, rape, beat, torture, kill women, are of SATAN,

However, due to sin, the fall, God allowed that---THAT fact, is NOT so easy to dismiss or to pretend its not horrible, when in fact it is. For that, I think, where it says in Job, that God allows oppression, because its in oppression, that drives humanity to cry out to Him,

that may explain, why in History, the church has been by far, more populated by women, [excluding today, the porn pastors and the raping wife beaters and child molesters are doing good job in running women OUT of the church, I'm one of them] and why the truly more spiritual ARE women.

If that be the case, and the early church in America even said this once, in 1800s, that Heaven would probably be more Women than men....LOL, now wouldn't That, be Ironic!

I am cross-posting a reply, that I made on another blog today, in response to another sermon on man as leader and woman as 'submissive', and something, I've been seeing of late, some 'errors' on both sides, well, most surely on the 'men lead' side, but something I've been noticing on some of the Christian feminist side, well, something that is creeping in, that really is a lot like what I believed while in the world--

and that really begs for 'discernment' because it looks good, but there is something sinister about it, and it is in the 'degenderizing' that will come about--this is the issue that women confronted within 'secular' feminism, in Christian feminism, and its not widespread yet, but its there, and if not confronted, it will spread and its Just as dangerous as the 'man as king woman as slave-dog' teachings, so I will speak on it here,

and its that belief that 'women' who submit are complicit, are sinful, if they are abused. And I saw this, in a paper yesterday on Christian feminism, and its not the first time I've seen this. Now, if one is referring to the 'perpetuating' willingly the hierarchy, with no regard to the suffering it causes to children and to all women, THAT'S ONE THING, but where it can get dangerous, is when it becomes, a denigration of 'nurture' and 'submission' or rather, 'service' as a whole--and THAT, that is what we really want to be careful, to avoid, because then THAT is rebellion, against the LORD GOD, because as Christians, we are supposed to be workers for Christ, not workers of iniquity, and the latter, can be Very deceptive. Its one thing, to lay down one's life for others, its quite another, to join others, as a 'zealot' that is reactionary and rebellious, against All 'service', and it is here, where Judas, is a good example, of one who was a follower of Christ--but who in the end, chose to be a reactionary [revolution caused not by love but by anger and selfishness] and to betray Christ. We have to be Very careful here, this is something God has been showing me, in His Word, what I've personally been wrestling with, praying and yes, sadly, 'service' has been Extremely 'abused' by the Dogs who parade around as Christians [men] and it is NOT fair, exactly,

on the other hand though....we have to be very careful, that we are not falling for the deceptions that the enemy would love to snare us with, that we don't 'fall away' and this, this is something that I feel begs to be put out there, because one, we Don't want to be 'victims' but two, we don't want to become 'dominant' or 'insistent on our way' or abusers ourselves, but not only that, we don't want to 'shun' the appointed call that we are called in Christ Jesus, and that, is yes,

to be a servant. [no matter if they love us in return or if they hate us...our role, as servants in Christ, does NOT change there, in marriages however, this can get tricky, how does one not be complicit in her abuse and especially the abuse of children, and yet, keep that servant spirit, and its not as black and white, I don't think, and it takes a lot of prayer and discernment and a lot of time in the Word of God. I do believe one can be 'submissive' as UNTO THE LORD and still be assertive, to be a servant does not mean, to be a doormat, to be a punching bag, to be 'soul-less', but its IN the assertiveness, that I feel there is some wisdom needed here, and its not easy, within the intimate of spaces. Sometimes I believe we literally have to remove ourselves, and Jesus did say, Flee persecution, pray to be Delivered from Evil, that means, Evil in how one is trapped within something to be forced to Do evil, etc. But, what I am seeing a lot of too, here lately,

is what we really need, is to know what iniquity is, and how to not be workers of iniquity, and I do believe, this is where a lot of spiritual warfare comes in. But, anyway....my reply, on a discussion about 'men as leaders' and women as 'submissive'.

I prefer not to even use the term 'submit' anymore because its been so abused, like many political cliches, its lost its true meaning. Same with headship, leadership, all of it.

I do want to mention though, something that I thought, in regards to 'leadership'. I know few men who are leaders, seriously. And so if I may, I will take another form of example, of 'leadership' to show something,

in All militaries, the 'leaders' of war, are the ones, who started out as the grunts. They don't become 'leaders' because they are placed there, they EARN their way to leadership, by first, being a SERVANT. And a SERVANT, who yes, is commanded, to OBEY and to lay down his-her life, with no retort. Would we really want to 'follow' someone in the military in a war zone, who had not known firsthand, how to fight? Would we want to follow someone in a dangerous situation who did not know firsthand, how to discern evil, how to protect his troops? Would we want to follow a leader who is stubborn, refusing to take wisdom from others, including maybe someone with a special gift in his unit?

Absolutely not, and it is for this reason, that the 'men' in their system of warfare have always demanded the ultimate sacrifices BEFORE THEY ALLOW ONE TO LEAD OTHER MEN. [excluding the administrative offices, that is, I'm focusing here on actual combat]

To be a leader, one must First, know what it is to actually be a Servant...the problem with the church's teachings, is that they omitted the 'have to be a servant' first which IS in the Bible, all over the Bible in fact, and put the emphasis on 'submit' on the woman. Men today aren't men, they are spoiled, immature, cowards, who most likely, no, Wouldn't step in front of a bullet to protect their wives. But they sure insist, on their 'rights' and 'entitlements' to lead and to assert their kingship.

Paul, himself, was an Example of true Leadership. And how, was he some softie who demanded respect as a Super Apostle, as a Shepard? NO, in fact, the other way around,

he worked around the full time [overtime] ministry he had so he would not be a burden to Anyone, he bore the marks of suffering in his own body, beatings, imprisonments, hunger, want...he gave his entire all to the betterment and the care of the flock, even to the point of his saying he was in distress until he knew, they were of good comfort and faith [Thel], THIS, was a LEADER.

He was a servant First, and foremost, and if Paul had of been married, I'm sure, he would not have been insistent on his 'rights' as he was totally devoted and had 'reverence' and 'fear' of the Lord [and he says so many times] and he would have treated his wife like a queen.

THAT, is what being a leader is, today, its the total opposite, today, its Iniquity that is celebrated, and manifested as the 'qualities' of leadership, in the perverse way that its taught in today's apostate church. This isn't just in marriage, its in the leadership in churches, in work, in parenting, you name it,

its so perverted today, that no wonder, there is so many problems today in relationships. The mystery of iniquity is running rampant, with total impunity, with the blessings of the 'false church teachings'. The issue isn't about 'roles' but about the perversion of what Service is, our Duty to serve the Lord with reverence and fear, no matter WHAT GENDER OR WHO WE ARE OR WHAT STATION IN LIFE WE ARE IN,

and THAT, THAT is what is truly lacking in our church and in our so called Christian marriages-families. Rather, today we have a 'secular' even 'pagan' interpretation of leadership-submission, with male as leader [undeserved and without merit] and woman as slave [undeserved and without glorifying the Kingdom of God because she is playing the role of Hagar, not Sarah], and this is why, I believe, we are having the problems, especially the passing down of iniquity,

to children and to their children. As a woman, who is yes, a radical feminist, who has grown and lived years with abuse [from childhood which was the root, of so much damage--the iniquity in our family that God has even shown me in what you would term a paranormal way, where I started asking Jesus, what is iniquity and how to break it], anyway, I have struggled with the iniquity within myself, both as a 'victim' of abuse [and living that continually in subconscious and that seed germinating in Me and being passed down] and with the iniquity in spouse that I was drawn to because it was what I knew, I married my childhood abuser time and time again. Why yes, one can be oppressed and be an oppressor too, and BOTH have to be broken.

Where we have to be careful, regarding submission, and something I am seeing a lot of today, is that we don't 'throw' service out the water with the baby, so to speak. Lately the teachings have been the blaming of women/abused of 'sin' for being complicit, for serving, loving, etc., this is wrong too, there is a very fine line, between 'enabling' and 'being a servant' or 'walking in that submissive love that Christ has worked in us', it is there that the enemy, can really do his dirty work, and walking out of that 'internalized abuse' yet remaining in Christ, is I think, where the test really comes in, and maybe this is why Paul stressed, submit 'AS UNTO THE LORD'. In the OT, in Chronicles, where it talks about the ruler of Syria, King Shis something or another, and God said to one of the prophets [don't have my Bible here, I'll get it in sec and put where] that He wouldn't' destroy Israel but that He would allow them to serve this evil king, so that they would 'learn service, as it is in the Kingdom of Heaven', etc.

If I have learned anything, this past year, struggling with these issues, it is on the issue of being a servant, what that really means, for All of us, and how it has been distorted and abused in the church [and in our world] against women,

on the other hand, how its also been ridiculed even by some who are rising up against abuse, in Christianity--here its very similar to the 'anti-feminine' beliefs within the far left, rather than hold Men accountable for their actions, instead, the feminine [or what is said to be] of nurture and caring is under attack, being told its complicit and now 'sin' because it feeds abuse,

both are incorrect. And I believe that is why Peter did mention about submission to those who are harsh--but here begs for wisdom, and God gave us Abigail, to show us, wisdom, she wasn't 'submissive' as in 'obeying no matter what', she quite frankly disobeyed her husband when she went to King David, and she struggled with those internalization's because when David asked her to marry [via his servants] she said, 'I'll be a servant to your servants', she had the mindset of an abused woman,

what did David do, he made her a WIFE, in those days, a WIFE, not a concubine, had more rights, in that patriarchal society....so basically, God said, 'this is how I see women, as Queens, not slaves', [something God showed me, about women and internalized abuse]. Abigail saw herself as a 'concubine', a woman with no worth, though she did Hear from the Lord and she did obey the LORD, not her brute beast of a husband...and because she Obeyed God, rather than submit to abuse-and others being abused, God saved her. And elevated her to the position that God ordained for her.

We could learn a lot from this, but its important to take notice, Abigail did not become elevated, by blind submission, to tyranny, to the point where evil was allowed to take reign, if she had of, she along with the entire family, would have been wiped out. She was a woman of wisdom--obviously, spending a lot of time in prayer because God used her, to prophesy to David and to keep David from doing 'evil'.

so, my point is, the teachings in the church today on submission and leadership, are so way off from the Bible, they are more about being a 'worker of iniquity' than about Christ, and its here that begs for discernment, and to close,

last night, was reading Thel where Paul talks about 'not having anything to do with the disorderly brother/or sister' so that they will feel ashamed, etc., repent, so forth,

we don't Have that in our churches today, there is no fear or reverence of God, of Jesus standing at the door, the true Judge, no, we have instead, the 'wives' submit and 'husbands lead' and

with no 'service?'. Paul says, we are 'appointed' to suffer, yet, I don't see a lot of Christians [other than abused women] in the West suffering, do you? Something, is really wrong, with the picture,

and I believe, it has something to do with iniquity. The problem isn't learning 'leadership' men, and the problem isn't learning 'submission' women,

the problem is, we are apostate, seriously, and we have no clue, as to what Serving Christ in fear and humility really is, because if we did,

we wouldn't have these ongoing debates within THE CHURCH, which is supposed to be the Body of Christ. We wouldn't have women leaving in droves, and children leaving in droves and going over to paganism and even satanism, because the church, like the OT times, the priests have become political, corrupt, followers of Moloch, rather than followers of God.

And those Moloch followers, always demanded, submission.

Gee, the apple really doesn't fall far from the 'tree' now does it? [tree, of iniquity]

JUSTIFICATIONS FOR SLAVERY?

I'll tell you why,

MEN CAN BE ENSLAVED, slavery wasn't just for women...so,

on one hand, we have, the church, for the most part, still pushing the woman submit, you inferior slave to the God ordained male SUPER SUPREMACY, women are the glory of man, kind of like his DOG, and man, of course, the glory of GOD,

[wonder what the hell will happen to women in heaven, taking That teaching, what, 72 virgins????? Now I know why, radical feminists, don't slam Islam, why should we, its not that much different than Christianity WHEN IT COMES TO WOMEN].

Ok well, so,

don't you think, its a bit strange, that slavery, the church doesn't preach, over and over and over and over and we don't have the ongoing debates today,

though their racism steams doesn't it?

But now, the submission of women, why,

gee, since MEN BENEFIT FROM THAT, HEY, NO NEED TO ABOLISH THAT,

AND SO WHAT,

IF MARRIED WOMEN ARE RAPED, BEATEN, CHILDREN RAPED, BEATEN,

BY THOSE OH SO STRONG MANLY MEN OF GOD?

A tad, double standards,

I say,

Church, if ya going to harp on subjugation of women, to protect your male entitlement, then,

why don't you, also, start harping on the SLAVES SUBMIT TO YOUR MASTERS,

AND, BTW, DO IT IN A BLACK NEIGHBORHOOD,

I'd be kind of curious how that would play out. Instead of FOCUS ON THE FAMILY,

FOCUS ON THE SLAVERY,

all for the Glory of Jesus, that long suffering, etc., redemptive...

I am glad, though, that I look like a fool, trying to portray God, as not a misogynist, when in fact,

well, can't say for sure He is,

but the BIBLE, DAMN SURE IS

and well, there is just no getting around it. I love Jesus, but,

yes, THE BIBLE, IS MISOGYNIST TO THE CORE.

Its patriarchal, its misogynist and it condones or perpetuates SLAVERY.

FORCING GIRLS TO MARRY, RAPING CHILDREN, COMMITTING INCEST, MEN BEATING THEIR WIVES, MEN ENSLAVING THEIR WIVES

human right abuses, pure and simple,

WE NEED TO SHUT UP, IN THIS COUNTRY, ABOUT THE ABUSES IN ISLAM

IS WE AREN'T WILLING, TO END THE ABUSES IN OUR CHURCHES...AND I DO MEAN,

END THEM.

BECAUSE, MANLY MEN OF GOD AND TALIBAN

SAME DAMN THING.

I have never been one to question the validity of the Bible as far as translations go, until now,

while, I don't concur with universalism or watering down scripture, I do believe, there are Enough inconsistencies in the Bible, in that, some of the scriptures, deserve looking into, especially those in the New Testament, that totally contradict the way Jesus treated women...

no offense, but I've often thought, the scriptures on submission, read more like something King James would have insisted upon, with the church in his day [and he was no gift to women, mind you]

or, the drafting by those, who wrote the Bible, during the days of early Catholicism [and that whole split] OR

during the Dark Ages, when they were butchering women by the thousands.

So, after raging at Jesus all day, and then, for some reason, that whole slavery part popped up at me [Holy Spirit maybe?] because, hey,

it shows the blatant hypocrisy of the church/men who have used those submission scriptures to enslave women, globally, including in legal systems, such as economics, that whole andro-centric nuclear capitalist 'family' they so love to worship,

at the expense of WOMEN.

anyway,

maybe my rage at Jesus, is unjustified, maybe, its not God or Jesus, or even Peter, maybe,

its, a deliberate mistranslation, to keep in times with the misogyny that ruled in the days the Bible was written,

it has been debated, that one of the books, was written years, after Paul's death, AND I did look at it, I believe its Titus,

it Does read different, from all Paul's other works. The language is different, the intro,

on some parts, it reads the same, on others, it doesn't,

so, I DON'T KNOW,

and, well, I'm not going to say, Don't believe in the Bible, no way,

but I will say, maybe, we should pray and seek, because Jesus Did say,

the Holy Spirit will lead you into all truth,

He didn't say,

the Bible would lead you into all truth. Though it does say the Word of God is inspired, etc.,

but, here is something else that has always sort of bothered me too, at the end of Revelations, it says,

cursed is anyone who ads or takes away from the Book,

IF, it wasn't a possibility, then Why would God, even warn?

Or was that just the Book of Revelations?

I am not a Bible scholar nor have I studied translations and Hebrew and all that....I do know however, that there are inconsistencies,

and even if not,

the fact remains,

WE, OUTLAWED SLAVERY, IN A SO CALLED, CHRISTIAN NATION, THE CHURCH, IS VERY OUTSPOKEN, AGAINST SLAVERY,

INCLUDING IN MISSIONS TO AFRICA, TODAY...

WHY THEN, ARE THESE SAME ADVOCATES, CHRISTIANS, FIGHTING SLAVERY, YET, THEY WILL TURN RIGHT AROUND AND SAY

TO WOMEN, IN ABUSIVE MARRIAGES

SUBMIT?

Something, just smells like a rat to me...

and maybe, maybe, I'll just stop blaming God, Jesus, and put the blame where it belongs

and the WOMEN, who benefit from those MEN [especially the money made, off the suffering, of those who have suffered abuse, its one WHOPPING $$$ INDUSTRY!]
